  • this guy is better than the balrog

  • that's some cool hu-whip.

  • Lol pause at 00:26

  • Totally kick ass :o)

  • That's BadAss

  • Stop telling him to practice more before he uses fire whips. He knows the basics and just wants to have some fun with it. He can practice when he's not lighting them. It's not like it's dangerous

  • those whips are to long for you to handle correctly. you should have 4 to five footers. please lean your cracks more solid before you light them on fire. you can practices with them unlit

  • @toddvarious Gee- thanks. Who the heck would want to see a 4-foot whip? Since I'm not made of money, I got what I wanted and worked with them. This is early in my performance career, which has many other fire props, all requiring practice, study, maintenance, etc. I'm not sure why you would care what I do...? You don't have to like the vid. And, this was just a fun moment at a party - no sweat.

  • Why is it always STOP, drop and roll. If you were on fire, wouldn't you skip the stop part and get straight to the drop and roll?

  • I've seen in comments before mine that you use "White Gas"/Coleman Fuel and I've heard about that from other firewhipers, but do you know how to get that kind of fuel to Sweden? The only fuel I can get hold of here for firetoys is oil for lanterns (paraffin) and it gives a nice yellow flame. But it extinguishes after 4 cracks or something like that.

And give my regards to Mike, a nice routine!

  • @LinusAlbihn Thanks! Try a camping or outdoor store for fuel. Good luck!

  • look at his leg at 0:31 he whiped himself lol

  • @chinnakone Hey- it happens to the best of them.

  • That was bad ass

  • very nice

  • Question how do you put out the fire? unless you just get a fire extinguisher or a water hose of course

  • @HellsRaven4444 They go out by themselves after about 2 minutes. Otherwise you can cover them with a blanket or towel.

  • that's not cool

  • O.O is like kratos from god of war...

  • I wonder if they' ll ever make a movie of Iron Man getting his butt kicked by a guy like this.. Hmm. Some day.

  • it touched u but u dident get burned

  • its the real whiplash like the one from iron man 2 :D

  • i can just imagine a kid running in front of the wips and gettin there arms chopped off

  • where do u get these whips

  • this guy sucks big time

  • two deff. looks cool....dangerous though!

  • you don't wanna get whipped with that

  • Comment removed

  • 'STOP DROP AND ROLL' Lol

  • He should practice with some ropes before he gets to big-boy stuff. :)

  • AHAHAHAH! Yeah playing with fire on the grass near trees, isnt this just SO very smart?

  • @blubbersticks Ridiculous. Try using fire props some time and you'll see that it can be easily contained. The grass is too green, and the trees would take applied fire for many minutes before they would get hot enough to burn. And one thing you don't see is my wife standing in the background with the hose! Always remember - safety 3rd!

  • how exactly do you do this? im trying to get into this kinda stuff, can you message me about this? possibly the items needed for this and hwo i can learn to do what you did..

  • this is like god of war!!!!

  • Would NOT want to get into a fight with this guy.

  • dude its not like i know you but all you have to do is stab this butterball in the stomach

  • i like the disc golf pin in the background xD

  • your mom always say dont play with fire

  • How the hell do u not catch fire during the body wraps? I get how with poi but the whips? o_O

  • its very dangerous because if the whip nags on his cloths he can easily be burt, but it takes a few seconds for something to catch on fire or burn. light a match and just wave your finger through the flame. if you just pass over it, youll feel warmth but it wont burn you unless you hold it there for too long

  • @CrypticArtist I done that in science and i was the only who would try it lol. everyone else was to scared xD

  • I love the kids in the back ground yelling "Stop, Drop, and ROLL!" Very cool!

  • I use white gas (Coleman). The whips burn for about 2 minutes, and then go out by themselves with a final crack. I never know exactly when they will go out, but try to do some dramatic, slow body wraps towards the end with a big crack or two to make them do out.

I have caught my clothing on fire a few times, but it's not that bad. Never has it felt like a life or death moment. Have a couple scars to show, but hey! ...fire is my art, and most artists I know make sacrafices for what they do.

  • 0:38. BAMF

  • I wonder how you turn the thing off? Soak it with water?

  • dude that thing is drained in oil. i think u dont want to put that out with water

  • it goes out when the fuel runs out

  • at like 0:42 you can hear someone say how hard is it. almost in that really how hard is it. then goes up and lights himself on fire

  • what do you use for fuel???

  • tiki oil normaly

  • parrafin

  • Lettin' them roll in your body!! Pretty good!

  • there a better one of a guy in a cowboy hat now that is amazing :p

  • The kids yelling "stop drop and roll" in the background made me laugh pretty hard.

    This was great.

  • that's a lot less impressive than just one since he can't really crack either of them well and didn't even get a single fireball.

  • Thanks for the constructive criticism. Can do a lot with one, but not as fun. With that much fire around me, I only do a fraction of what I can. Always, more practice.

Got plenty of fireballs, but they all happened in the first 4 or 5 cracks.

What I'm doing now is practicing for a CO regional event and BM. Got lots of props to get good with.

Clothes that don't burn include cotton, leather, silk, canvas - all the natural stuff.

    Thanks for the kudos.

    -Dfly-

  • borink... psh... psh... who cares... the pois are better

  • Not bad not bad, needs to get used to the extra drag the fire gives ya a bit more practice is in order.

  • thats some castlevania stuff.. awesome

  • awesome but i like poi better

  • it should make a fire ball

  • aww what now fire ball what did u use as fule

  • eh seems like he needs more practice...

    maybe work with one

  • what do you think hes doing now?

  • it doesnt even make a fire ball

  • wooaaaaaahoooohooooooaaaaa @w@ got giddy just watching and I'm not even there! LOL

  • Isn't it dangerous to have a flammable shirt while doing that?

  • this is really cool but i wouldnt do it on the grass

  • dude since when did all grass set on fire when theres a fire on it

  • at 32 seconds it wraps around your leg awesome

  • but at 39 it wrapped fully around him :D

  • fantastic!

been wanting to try the whips, but they still intimidate me alot. heh.

    looks great tho for sure

  • have you ever burnt ur self

  • You can actually wrap the whip around yourself for a split second, fire won't burn you unless you let it. I would rather get burned than get snapped by a bull whip.

  • awk kwl thanxs =]

  • @antmanmax1 You are damned straight there. Bull whips fucking hurt.

  • @antmanmax1 Actually, you can wrap the fire for many seconds and it won't burn.

  • @antmanmax1: Mhmm, this was new to me. I thought that the longer the whips, or anything on fire, burns, the hotter it becomes, and because of that, you would get some burn damages if the fire was hot enough :P. My mistake.

  • lol

  • What do you coat those with to allow them to burn that long even after whipping them around? Also does it harm the whip at all?

  • The whips are kevlar braids and are specially made for fire play, so will last a long time - years if correctly handled. They are first soaked in white gas (Coleman Fuel) which burns bright and evaporates cleanly, but can be soaked in a number of different fuels for different effects. If you do a search on "fire poi", you'll come up with a lot of information about this. Enjoy!

  • So, where would you find a whip made of kevlar braids? I want one!

  • @quizbo707 so they're specially made NOT to set you on fire? because if not you truly are insane.
