IMO, the entire draft was a series of lateral moves. Mask for mask. Big for big, stooge for stooge. Mid-card for mid-card. And the entire thing ended up being about Cena anyway. This year's draft only continued to validate my opinion that the entire concept should be dropped entirely.

It simply doesn't work anymore. Especially since WWE has spent the last few years training cookie cutter talent. When every guy is the same, trading them makes no difference.

The best draft ever? Smackdown is still a missable show with a bloated midcard. Smackdown has Orton, but it still has a gaggle of midcarders, just like before. Raw just got even more top heavy, that's all. It's full of main eventers and upper-midcarders, with everyone else relegated to Superstars.

About Kharma, I see her burning out very quickly after she mows through all the Divas. It's going to get boring very fast if they don't do something to keep the inevitable squashes interesting.

David, I usually love your views and tend to agree, but I don't get what you're talking about in regards to Sin Cara/Mysterio! They would have an amazing series of matches and I think the majority of people would LOVE to see it.

On another note, it would be brilliant to see Daniel Bryan to turn heel and feud with Christian over the WHC. That could be a great feud.

WWE has just started to give Mark Henry his 100th monster heel run - he attacked Cena! No way at anytime in near future would WWE do that with Bryan.

Plus Randy Orton is the star of the show & he will be in the mix for WHC all the time for forseeable future.

here's why Cena doesn't make sense: if this is supposed to be a sports draft, then after a "player" is drafted he's off the table. He can't be re-drafted by another team. So if Cena was drafted, if this was supposed to make sense as a draft, he should be out of the pot after that. But of course this is pro wrestling. it doesn't make sense.

I think what made this draft one of the most successful is some thought went into the brands' rosters not so much just running behind the curtails of some of the popular guys. You may all detest to this but how they used cena was in fact a stroke of brilliance not only did they create reaction and shock to boost ratings but moving him back again to raw evened the amount of draft picks between the two shows 4-4.

i missed the days when this show gave tna/wwe equal cover. The way impact opened was pretty good and the heat karen generated was noteworthy but all these 2 went on about was the draft. Not even covering the silliness of drafting cena 2x when did hero become such a wwe puppet?

Best draft ever? Come on David Herro. It was arguably the worst. The first few drafts were the best when it involved the GM's & not a random computer - who makes these picks the wizard of Oz? seriously. Not to mention the talent are not kept EXCLUSIVE to their own brands which mean nobody really cares Swagger or Big Show are on Raw because they have already been on Raw loads this year. We have seen Del Rio on Raw. Its only a matter of time before Orton makes an appearence on Raw.

Go back & watch the very first draft or the 2nd ever draft - they were good.
