  • Vera, Vera, what has become of you? Does anyone else in here, feel the way I do, some shiney day.

  • To you young chaps that weren't born between 1939-45 have no idea what good people

on both sides went through, talk is cheap but reality isn't forgotten.....we owe the USA our

freedom as does Europe..we paid our $ debt back in full, who else did ? And the UK's loyalty

has been with the US ever since..Korea, Afg:, Iraq, Libya, Park: etc.we need each other !!!

  • Fine video series. Remarkable music. What for "white" killed each other in 20-th century much?

  • I learned this song when I was in grade four at mayapyap elementary school. I will always be grateful to miss mendoza who taught us.

  • I'm sorry I missed those days.

  • Thank you so much for posting....I am to old to dream now but I have memories and this reminded me how blessed I was...albeit the years were to brief....

  • DOES ANYBODY HERE REBEMBER VERA LYNN?

  • @Druiddoceu I do now, and Vera is awesome. I found this version because I'm a huge Linda Ronstadt fan. You can't do links on YT, but if you search "Linda on the Muppet Show" you'll find her serenading Kermit with this song and trust me you won't be disappointed. I call Linda the face that could launch a thousand ships and the voice that could launch ten thousand ships. A lot of my friends disagree with me saying her voice is too loud and whinny. You be the judge.

  • would it be too much a stretch to say that Vera Lynn was the Doris Day of England? I know she meant a great deal to that country--and perhaps personified hope in a dark time.

  • @patrickburnsmusic

Don't listen to the repetitive nonsense that some people are saying about the American war contribution, I for one have endless gratitude towards the American people both past and present and I know plenty of other people who feel the same way. I just wish our governments weren't so tragic and corrupt.

  • @55DJL Thanks much! And I'm in complete agreement with your last statement, too. I love your country and its people. After all, our country was born of yours and will always be connected historically.

  • Wow, this is truly a song from the heart... thank you.

  • I saw this machines when I was a boy. Never forget it. It is always with me;

  • this beautiful tune always brings me to tears

all gave some, some gave all...

  • @supernikki12100 Yeah I must admit to hearing "who won" quite a lot :O). Well the Commonwealth fought the war all the way through - and after the Soviet Union watched the first year or so and got invaded and trounced for another year or so, they got around to trouncing the largest German armies in the last two years or so. With the help of the Commonwealth and USA. So proportionally the Soviet Union paid the highest price, but then again they should have been opposed to Hitler from the start. ;)

  • I can only really speak for myself from the UK, but I believe it's also true that the major American contribution to the outcome of both World Wars is still greatly and widely appreciated in the UK. As is the massive American contribution to the peace afforded by NATO since. The British economy was so ravaged by two world wars that Britain could scarcely afford to defend Western Europe alone after 1945. And who else would have helped us if not the United States... worth thinking about.

  • @13Padua Yes that is true but they sure took their bloody time getting into both wars, and then they said they won both of them.

  • God bless the brave men and women who gave their all for us.

Bless my darling dad who fought for our freedom.

My thoughts are with everyone who has loved and lost their dear ones, and who else to remember them with, but Dame Vera lynn. Wonderful !!

  • god be with you on remberance day

  • Winstone Churchill was 50% American through his mother an extremely beautiful woman. That's why he would'nt take any SHIT from Hitler. It was a combination of American guts and the British bull dog spirit that formed his charactor.A great wartime leader who along with Roosevelt saved us from the abyss.Mabye Obama doesn't realise what he did.

  • @Topper954 We need another Churchill right now.

  • @patrickburnsmusic AMEN TO THAT!!

  • I totally agree with all the sentiments expressed regarding the Bond that exists between the Anglo American peoples. Those brave American boys fought along side us and scrificed everything for freedom. We could never have defeated the might of the Germans and Japanese without their help.GOD BLESS AMERICA.

  • @Topper954 I love you Brits. :)

  • Hi Guys were not critizing USA..thanks to you we won W11. Yes it took the Japs

dec 7th 41..to wake up.. however thanks to truman we saved 150,000 US lives.

To keep the usa strong, firstly republican strong party, tie in with canada, and all

commenwealth countries, trade with our brothers finance brothers, what the hell

ore we doing selling our birthright...to who !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @schlusnus I'm with you!

  • Cant we just enjoy the music and its dedication without bickering like a bunch-a-snot nosed brats?

  • Cant we just enjoy the music without bickering like toddlers?

  • I feel for the people including relatives who fought and died for this once great country, its a pityfull country now, strangly still being told what to do by Europe again.. !! Will we ever learn..

  • Every Year the first weekend of June I dress as a Col. in the Air Corps and go the the WWII weekend in Reading Pa in memory of my Dad Clarence Ziegler who enlisted at age 17 before Pearl in the Air Corps and was a B-29 Tail Gunner. I am really sadened at what is Happening here in The Usa and I have a great love for the British People. My mother had British Pen Pals from 1956 till she died in 2001. May There always Be an England is my Prayer and May the Usa turn back from where it is going!

  • Granted both parties are at fault But for the record the jobless rate was at 7.2% now when he took office not its at 9.2% how come they couldn't fixed that. Also he has spent over 1-2 trillion dollars in just 3 years. As more than All the presdents combined from the first George to the second to the last George . That history for you. Just look at the poll numbers.

  • May I never grow too old to dream. I just can't get enough of this beautful voice of Vera Lynn.

  • we will get our GLORY back after we vote out this awful current administration in 2012. So keep the faith.

  • @sassyron1 It was the last administration that made the mess in the first place.

  • Those were the days indeed. Too bad in the long run it was tragicially all for nothing. Very sad really.

  • This Nyer wants to say thank you to the blessed Vera Lynn, and thank you to our English allies, now and always. Yes, there always will be an England.

  • merry christmas and a happy new year 2011 !!

  • Maybe our American president should listen to this tune (and others that Vera did) and learn a little about the special people the British are. He should remember that there IS and damned well always will be a unique bond between our two countries and that the bust of Churchill should be returned IMMEDIATELY to the Oval Office. Cheers to all from NJ, USA.

  • @patrickburnsmusic Most of the British & Irish are pro American. Do not worry about China or any other nation taking your place they will never fill your shoes, However for the short run? Your bankers & politicians have, Just like here have sold out your inheritance. nothing wrong with capitalism. It has simply got out of control. Roosevelt said you have "nothing to fear except fear itself". America is & will be a great nation. I am sure from the comments about Britain you will want it so.

  • @patrickburnsmusic There is no bond you americans would not have gone in the war if you have not been attacked by the Japanese , Americans always say they won the war both world wars you did not win the war you help to win.

  • @supernikki12100 I'm not sure why you're so bitter. I was complimenting the British and Churchill. Please yourself.

  • @patrickburnsmusic You say that the states is a great nation I think not.

  • @supernikki12100 Um, no I didn't. If you read my comments, you'll see that was never mentioned. I can only assume you are unwell. Fell better soon.

  • @patrickburnsmusic You said before that america is and will be a great nation, remember what happens to great nations they fall. I am so glad you are concern about my health I am well thank you. You didn't spell feel right. Have a wonderful day, where ever you are.

  • @supernikki12100 No, that was vertis43ad in response to this comment of mine: "Maybe our American president should listen to this tune (and others that Vera did) and learn a little about the special people the British are. He should remember that there IS and damned well always will be a unique bond between our two countries and that the bust of Churchill should be returned IMMEDIATELY to the Oval Office. Cheers to all from NJ, USA."

Keep trying, though. Maybe you'll get it right someday,

  • @patrickburnsmusic Yes I will keep on trying both of my grandparents are from England and my father I don't need some stupid american telling me what a great country England is.

  • @supernikki12100 This isn't about you. This is about complimentary statements made by me about the spirit of the British people, and you've done absolutely nothing but spout venom and bitterness. Additionally, you attributed someone else's pro-American comments to me. Lots of people on this page have said great thing about Britain, and rightly so. It was a positive place until you showed up with your bile and hatred.

  • @patrickburnsmusic It seems that your fellow american ? is somewhat upset by the concept that two people can have a positive & common view of the Anglo American relationship.

  • @vertis43ad Yes, and bitter. :)

  • @patrickburnsmusic Both my grandparents were from England and my father is too, you americans can say how much you admire the British but you sure took your time getting into both wars and then saying that you won both of them, which you did not. I have great love for the home of my family , americans I do not have respect for you.

  • @supernikki12100 Again, I never ONCE mentioned a single thing about America's role in the war, yet you obsess on imagined statements. As for me, I was negative 28 when the war began, and was therefore omitted from the decision making processes of the Roosevelt Administration. As for what you think of Americans, no one cares. My comments were about my admiration for the British people which remains and grows daily.

  • @supernikki12100

No country has given more of its blood for the freedom of others than the US.I have british blood in my veins but your cavalier attidude and stupid views are an affront to all the men and women from USA England Australia NZ Canada etc. who paid the ultimate price for your freedom you twit.

  • @john261948 I have great respect for the soldiers of every country that goes and fight and sometimes lose their lives, my disrespect is for the United states govt, no matter what you think the americans would have never been in WW2 if they haven't been attack. And Vera Lynn is one of the greatest singers that every live, she is wonderful.

  • @patrickburnsmusic Your negative comment shows at the top of the page I'm looking at. What did I miss?

  • @patrickburnsmusic If you care to claim him as president, go ahead. I can't. For my money, America hasn't HAD a president since January 20, 1989. Come back, Gipper and win one for US!

  • @talochIV I'm totally with you, brother!

  • @patrickburnsmusic Oh yeah , you mean the President we have now? He'd be playing golf with with Adolf & El Ducci If they'd have him LOL

  • @WildBills44 Right on, man! He removed Churchill's bust from the Oval Office the moment he set foot in the place. That one action said all about him that needs to be said.

  • @patrickburnsmusic Thank you I did not know that. I'm sure Vera Lynn would not approve and Winston would have expected it. What people fail to realize is EVERYTHING IS POLITICAL. If it had not of been for political events decades before WWII then Vera Lynn wouldn't have had the hits she had. So get your heads out of the sand and always vote for freedom, not for personal comfort and that way you'll be safer.

  • @WildBills44 Very well said!

  • @patrickburnsmusic I never knew there was a Winston Churchill bust there, When was it removed and do you know why?

  • @Robert46514 Obama had it taken out of the Oval Office - out of the building, in fact - not long after he was inagurated. He made some comments early on about there being no special relationship between Britain and the United States. The removal is right in line with who the man is. I've been to the Oval Office and I can tell you Churchill's bust deserves to be there and damn well should be.

  • @patrickburnsmusic I'm Amarican but I have never been out of the state of Illinios to be onest i hardly leave town. But if the friendship betwen the us and England gose to crap I'm moving to London after serving in the us army national guard for 6 yrs. hope i never have to fight a brit cuz i rathere die than kill a brother

  • @patrickburnsmusic I agree

  • @patrickburnsmusic

The bust of Churchill did not belong to the US, it was on loan and was returned to it's owner.

What do you have against Lincoln, the first Republican president, whose bust is now on display there.

  • @bobklahn No one said it belonged to the US. The loan by Britain, however, was terminated by the current US administration. As for Lincoln, I have nothing at all against Lincoln. Why would you suggest that?

  • @patrickburnsmusic from a "limey" here in uk thank you for those kind words for my fellow countryman, make no mistake they where the finest generation from both our countries the debt we owe can never be repaid, americans always welcome in my home

  • What a great video to accompany this song, such graceful flying, you almost forget that it was for a war. My dad was a waist gunner & photographer on B17 "Flying Fortress" bombers during WWII, with the US Army Air Corp, flying out of N. Africa & Italy. He survived but some of his crewmates weren't so lucky, also some were German POWs. They were the greatest generation. I miss you pop!

  • @Crownsford - I remember WWll and am writing to say I am, and will always be, grateful to men like your dad.

    An appreciative NYer.

  • Riveting voice - as always. One of Britain'smost beloved - with good reason.

  • I love all the songs of Vera Lynn, she IS an English rose. This is a bautiful tune sung by one of the best female singers ever. *****

  • This week was the battle of the Britain,...the RAF fought in the skies..outnumbered 4 to 1, and still won the battle.....as winston churchill said..never was so much owed me so many to so few....I wonder what theyd make of the country now....thank you to those brave men and women were it not for their bravery and love of their country we would be talking German....

    WE SALUTE YOU xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • @TheGapminder “In the European Theatre of World War II… No. 460 Squadron RAAF, mostly flying Avro Lancasters, had an official establishment of about 200 aircrew and yet had 1,018 combat deaths. The squadron was therefore effectively wiped out five times over.” These numbers don’t account for the many who survived but were injured mentally and physically. War is evil. The puppeteers take our loved ones from us, on both sides of the pond. Don’t be disrespectful. Use your time to self-educate.

  • The Songbird of the Greatest Generation Ever !!

  • @THE GAPMINDER, ANY WAY YOU LOOK AT IT YOU LOST HINNIE....

  • My 93 year old nan knows the vera lynn songs very well, :) ilovee her soo much. her dad survived through WW1, and she has got rationing books and such.

  • It was said of these outnumbered amazing British pilots -averge age-19 years 2 months-"Never in history of human conflict- has so much been owed by so many to so few" --- Susan Trumbel

  • @grub44 One of the greatest things ever said by Churchchill during WWII They were amazing men. My Father joined the US Army Air corps at age 17 before pearl and was a B-29 tail gunner during the war. There will aways be a bond between England and the USA as long as the WWII baby bomers are still living.

  • @Kinseydsp What a beautifully written reply. I am proud my step father fought to protect England. I feel the bond between the two countries although I have never been to England, but plan to visit there within the next year. Must see some of the beautiful and historical sights I have read so much about.

  • Gapminder, you wouldn't know shit from clay. my grade 8 teacher flew a spitfire in the battle of Brittain. You scum were just like the wogs. Only good in numbers, or you would have won. Guts is the only winner. It was good to read about the late highest honoured Aussie woman, French resistance fighter who said the only good German was a dead German. K.J. Edmonton.

  • I'm 13 & I'm in luv with the 1940's & I wish I had vera's voice, if I could go back 2 any time this is wer I would b . RIP 2 all of the ppl that lost their lives in that tragic war

  • wow !Thank You! RAF. God bless for keeping me speaking English

  • Thanks for the memories of lost loves--always in my heart.

    Sentimental 50's

  • The Gapminder, Keep your nazi comments to yourself. You arsewipes lost the war so never forget it. YOU C--TS UNDERESTIMATED THE GUTS OF THE BRITS, AUSSIES AND RUSSIANS. YOU GOT ALL YOU DESERVED. TOO BAD THE BRITS AND YANKS DIDN'T LEAVE THE RUSSIANS SORT YOU OUT FOR A BIT LONGER. K.J. EDMONTON.

  • @290948kenwong

As I know, no Aussies have had been fighting in Europe. You'd rather should had mentioned the Canucks :))

  • @TheGapminder Didn't the Australians fight in North Africa vs the Italians and Germans? I believe that they then went on to fight in Italy and Greece from there. Hect they used Italian tanks (3 squadrons) with a kangaroo painted on the turrets and side.

  • again thanks to all who have served and are now serving may God bless you all there always will be an England God willing

  • God bless all the men and women who gave there lives we all could live my mother was a war bride i was born in lancashire but now live in st louis mo i come over still a lot i hate to see how england has changed over the yrs the u s is the same way im sorry to say i always tell people that im english first i still have relatives left over there ill be come over on julu 9 and staying until aug 13 this time we will be seeing as much as we can as my wife and i are in our middle 60

  • Women are singing, men are fighting. We had our Zarah (from Sweden, lol). "Ich weiß es wird einmal ein Wunder geschehen". Worst times 70 years ago...

Friendly Greetings to UK, from Berlin

  • Comment removed

  • This was perfect, thank you!

  • Do you guys know that you have had been f*cking lucky by that time, 1940? The spitfires of yours saved your asses. Congrats to your genius engineer Mr. Reginald Joseph Mitchell! Due to his early death he didn't become KG. The Me 262s of ours would have had blown you down from sky. But the production of those ones was not in the agenda of the 'glorious' leaders of our country.

    Just 'technically' spoken...

    Greetings from Berlin

  • @TheGapminder You truly have no respect for any of the people who died in that war do you? "...would have blown you down from the sky". I pity you child.

  • I'm only sixteen years old and I can appreciate her beautiful voice. How she captures her emotions in the song. I love her with all my heart she inspires me to write the love stories that run through my mind. What artist don't have today is originality, emotion in their work, and actual talent. Vera has it all and more, these artists today hide the fact that they cant sing with flashy lights and voice changers. But, Vera is real, her and billie holiday.

  • I really enjoy Vera Lynn's songs - she has a wonderful clear voice - and it brings back wonderful memories of my parents and childhood!

  • @MsRoswin and when people could actually sing, unlike all the autotuning from now-a-days,, :/

  • I really enjoy Vera Lynn's songs - she has a wonderful clear voice - and it brings back wonderful memories of my parents and childhood! Ros Bisset

  • save england from the froeign invasion now!

USA is almost lost, and our culture and lifestyle is in compromise for it, as is yours. THERE WILL ALWAYS BE AN ENGLAND.

    respect from USA

  • @xxfallingapartx I fucking love you mate.

  • @AnonymousEmperor

    lol. thanks man.

    much appreciated.

no matter what people on either side of "the pond" say, and the differences we may have as well, England - USA are probably the final stand (actually, canada and the aussies do it pretty well, too, I must say) against the invasion of our ways of life. All the other established nations have given in.

  • @xxfallingapartx What are you talking about?

  • @XXGDUBSXX

it shouldnt be that hard to guess

  • @xxfallingapartx It is sad that the USA are turning backwards to their own former glory. Youve always been a lighthouse of freedom iluminating the countries in the darkness, giving them hope, that there is freedom somewhere else, which may once come. But those times have passed away... Sad...

  • A band of Brothers, "The real Heroes, well, they never had a chance to return Home".

  • The engine's overheating and so am I, we either stand down or blow up. The choice is yours.

  • I am wanting to have this beautiful piece of music and aerial photography played at my father's funeral tomorrow 29.4.11. I believe it's copyright. Does anyone have any suggestions? My father was in the RAF and later the RCAF. This video and song would be ideal for him. It must be the Vera Lynn and the beautiful aerial video espeically of the spitfires.

  • A beautiful tribute to all the brave souls who lost their lives defending their countries. Regardless of where they were from or what flag they were fighting for, all of those troops were someone's son or daughter, someone's sister or brother, someone's father, mother, husband, wife, friend. May they all rest in peace, and may their sacrifice never be forgotten. Lest we forget.

  • Thank God for the RAF and USAF forces. Brave lads.

  • My mother sang this to me when I was little. Thank you for the memories

  • THIS is the definitive version of this wonderful song.

So many people recorded it that I can't catalog all of them..but THIS is "The" version that brings it home.

  • I have not forgotten any of our bloody good lads from WWI and WWII. Great stuff!

  • Saddening and angering that the young generation don't give two craps about the generation that lived in WW2.

England has slowly fell into a third world country since Labour took power.

RIP to everyone who fought in the war (Including the Axis! it is terrible that people also forget the young boys and men who fought for Germany etc.)

  • For you Sarah.... :)

  • Beautifully done.

    Thanks for posting this.

  • Tune is great and gentle - but it fits the images of that momentous battle that showed the Luftwaffe was not all it was cracked up to be.

  • @MrDumbasshitler The footage is from 'The Battle of Britain'.

  • Thanks for not drowning Vera Lynn out with aircraft noise.

  • Tho our George(who refused a crown offered him)warned us to avoid entangling alliances w/old European powers so we'd avoid their inevitable&perpetual wars..we sadly forgot his advise in the 20th C. However England was mercilessly attacked & it chills me to realize how few&brave those young lads were who threw their lives in the breach to save us all till we got pulled into it & the tide was turned. Thanks to them and my parents generation for saving the day, here & in Britain. Accents-who cares?

  • VERA...VERA....What has become of you?

  • great singer vera lynn we will for get her lilyjohnso47

  • magnifique!

VL= a singer and songs needed in a dark dark time.. I cant even begin to imagine what these young men in the military had to face..I salute you

The British songbird...(quite young too) doesn't sound American...Canadian maybe, but not American. Well actually most singers in English have a fairly neutral accent (a la Canada) unless the song itself calls for a pronounced accent to achieve an effect

(SA- south africa.-not too hard to figure out)

  • what a singer bravo you where our secrect weapon

  • this song is so wonderful and sad, evil evil song

  • Only barefoot people with gap-tooth smiles use "y''all" in conversation. Help me out...what is this "SA" or where is it? I invite you to download songs by her contemporary, American singer Jo Stafford (recently deceased) and then listen again to the great Very Lynn. How can I break it to you? Lynn sounds American. In television interviews she does sound British, that's a given. Speech and singing use different parts of the brain and vocal chords. Nayowe, got that, Mitey?

  • Bloody Gerries!

  • If you are to young to understand what this is about you have no business on the Vera Lynn channel.

  • do you remember VeraLynn???(P.FLOYD)

  • Those 5 dislikes much be a few french co**suckers....

  • Why do English singers always sing with an American accent? Same thing with Australians and South Africans.

  • @zeekwolfe what? vera lynn is as english as you get and does not sing with an american accent, dam it she is an iconic english singer one of the best of her generation.........................................

  • @kitkat6026 Of course Vera Lynn is English. I have always loved the sound of her voice and her sentimental and patriotic songs. Now, in My Fair Lady, no one ever mistakes Eliza Dolittle's accent as anything but Cockney. This accent was part of the story line; 'enry iggins' teaches her to lose it...'the rine in Spine comes minely from the pline' to 'the rain in Spain comes mainly from the plain.' Lose the accent...sing...and you sound American. Sorry!

  • @zeekwolfe what twoddle, sorry !!!!! so if every one in uk looses thier regional accent they sound like an american ,sorry you talk absolute rubbish,

  • @kitkat6026 Sob, I tried to send you a message about accents and commentary on British actors who appear as Americans in the movies. I also had a reaction to 'twoddle.' If you list me as a 'friend.' I'll collect my thoughts and send them in a day or two. zw SoCal

  • @zeekwolfe What a strange thing to say. Do y'all stateside imagine any singer worth their salt would want to sound like Jed Clampett or Loyd Grossman or perhaps even Mae West? Listen to Vera's diction and then say it remotely resembles the weird and wonderful sounds that pass as speech from the US. Bizarre.

Clipped speech from SA and drawn-out speech from Australia aren't remotely like our speech.

  • The greatest generation.

  • Thanks for posting the great songs of Vera Lynn...the great songs of the century.

  • The greatest generation that saved the world the dark ages-semper-fi-Bill

  • Again, thanks kitcat0026, thanks TheOldEchoes for taking the time to make this old ********** (your choice of an appropriate name) very happy! So I don't get even further 'confused', probably best if you stick with the one I CAN remember! GTP.

  • Thanks, again! Kind wishes reciprocated with, just one, 'slight query'. May I ask whether I am speaking to a fellow male? The ONLY reason I ask that question is that I am told, by my many friends in the USA, that lol means something TOTALLY DIFFERENT over there from 'over here'. Lots of luck as opposed to lots of LOVE. You can see now, I'm sure, why I ask! Having said that, your ulimate wish I CAN AND DO reciprocate irrevocably!

  • @GTP1940 You are, indeed, a splendid person GTP. 'lol' - also means "laugh out loud." In other words, if I told you a joke mate, and of course, you found it funny, you'd say "lol." Now, if you meant "lots of Love" - I'd get worried, even from an ex-sailor. Lol! Sincerely, all the best to you.

  • Brilliant video and brilliant singer, as we ALL know, don't we? Curious to know the origins of the video, German?

  • @GTP1940 english film "battle of britain" is that what you meant ?

  • @kitkat6026 Thanks. Will now 'take a break'! Should have 'twigged' as have seen the film.

  • @GTP1940 lol no problem,, take care

  • Wonderful. Just wonderful.

  • god bless germany

  • I had to post the words as seperate postings since you are allowed only 500 characters each post.

It seems that every time this song has been sung (the ones I've heard anyway) they only sing the Chorus! It would be interesting to obtain the original which would have included the verses.

  • Comment removed

  • (Repeat Chorus)

    So kiss me my sweet

    And so let us part

And when I grow too old to dream

That kiss will live in my heart..........

And when I grow too old to dream

That kiss will live in my heart

  • Verse2: After you've gone life will go on Time will be tenderly melting our tears Yet will I find you in my mind Beckoning over the years Chorus: When I grow too old to dream I'll have you to remember When I grow too old to dream Your love will live in my heart So kiss me my sweet And so let us part And when I grow too old to dream That kiss will live in my heart
  • Verse1: We have been gay going our way Life has been beautiful, we have been young After you've gone, life will go on Like an old song that we've sung Chorus: When I grow too old to dream I'll have you to remember When I grow too old to dream Your love will live in my heart So kiss me my sweet And so let us part And when I grow too old to dream That kiss will live in my heart
  • does anybody know the lyrics to this song? its soo pretty & wud like to know! :)

  • my beloved daddy (r.i.p.) served during WWII ..was there on D-Day. He & all who served during this most difficult war, will forever be my heroes. Thank u~~~~~<3

  • WHEN I GROW OLD TO DREAM by Vera Lynn. To DP of Class 71.

  • does anyone know the lyrics to this?

  • The video is from the 1969 movie "The Battle of Britian". The "ME109's" are actually Spanish versions with Merlin engines. In fact ,ALL the "German" aircraft used in this flick are the Spanish Air Force of 1969 !!!

  • @Aeroplnut I didnt know that! Thank you! Absolutely love the film. "Tallyho!"
