As for Sandra's comments, I grew up in a mostly white neighborhood too. In College, I went to an Asian Student event, but no one spoke English so I left. Back then I repeatedly dreamed about being in the hallway trying to figure out where I belonged: a room with all White people or a room with all Asians. I woke up before choosing. Now I'm friends with both. It took time to feel comfortable in my own skin. Hope that clarifies things; no offense intended.

You get to decide what your cultural identity means to you based on your personal experiences. And in addition, the Burke character left 2 seasons ago and now her character is dating a character played by a Scottish actor. So honestly, what is your problem? Is her character supposed to be ranting angrily all the time?
