  • My HusQ 340 use low quality 2T and got trouble like this.....

  • Hi donyboy73, i was following your vid on how to do this but then i got to un-doing the cylinder allen bolts, i managed to round off the heads on 2 of them! Is there anything i can do to fix this?? any help much appreciated. thanks.

  • Those spikes @ 2:02 what do they do?

  • @ML424wr

They grab the log when cutting.

  • You need to buy a Air Compressor !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ever heard of the 445's eating them selfs? like throwing chains and wrecking the whole power head? it happened to my dads friend just the other week

  • 2:43 what kind of ratchet spanner do You use, what brand do You recommend. Very appreciate for replay.

  • @Naproxenum that one is a craftsman from sears

  • i would have blown the whole thing off before removeing thecylider.

  • nice vid. :D :)

  • @dc2man123 sorry don't have anything right now, i do have a parts list

  • Hey anyone, would a chainsaw work for a motor bike?

  • @62ssab Gap just use a business card will do, make sure it is between the magnet side of the fly wheel and coil. Tighten down and then remove card.

  • After you get all the plastic off and BEFORE you take the air, cleaner, carb and cylinder off, blow the whole saw off with compressed air. There is so much caked saw dust, it's easy to contaminate the carb and lower end with all that crap.

  • @62ssab my friend had one

  • @62ssab just put a business card in between

  • tnx for helping me :D

  • im running my old outboard with 1:50 fuel instaid of 1:100 is that a bad thing??

  • @soverato3 that's ok

  • Nice video. Shame the saw is too far gone.

  • What is the difference between rancher saws and normal saws in Husqvarna ?

For ex. what is the difference between normal 61 husky and 61 rancher husqy ?

  • very good explanation!

  • you mentioned carbon could damage it like that? what's the cause? carbon build-up? too much oil or running too rich?

  • @seasonedtoker TOO MUCH OIL WILL CAUSE CARBON BUILD UP AND ALSO LIKE U SAY "RUNNING RICH"

  • very good video donyboy 73 wat is total cost of a rebuild, for that model?????

  • @Liamautomechanic $200-$300

  • very good vid donnyboy 73 what would the cost of a rebuild cost, barell and piston kit cost??????????for that model.

  • why do somechainsaws have the floppy tube thing instead of a solid manifold?

  • @shinyfuzzy stihl has a lot of saws with the intake boot. the boot absorbs vibration better and takes less space.

  • Removing the piston as you did in this video, would the procedure be the same for like a 372? gonna need to replace the piston in a 372 my son is bringing home

  • @Zorack10 pretty close, i think the 372 has a small impulse line from the cylinder to the carb

  • The shop said dust probably got in thru the filter. It didn't make sense.

  • Great video! Thanks for the info. Is it possible for the cylinder to get scored because of not doing a yearly tune up?

  • @mag7rova not really, usually not enough oil in the gas, overheating from using a dull chain and carbon build up on the piston which breaks apart and scores the piston walls

  • @donyboy73 Thanks again. I will take a look at it myself. Again great video for a novice to reference. Really appreciate it!

  • @mag7rova post a vid so i can see it

  • Very interesting.

  • how did it get scored so badly?

  • @pimpinpenz overheating with dull chain or low oil in gas

  • @donyboy73 hmm thats really bad scoring almost looks like someone put twigs down the intake

  • Husqvarna 55's are known for scoring the cylinder and piston ! its either causes by a bad mixture of fuel or it got hot. Causes of it getting hot could be cutting with a dull chain etc ! these saws work good when they work but they are an expensive saw to fix ! i do not suggest going to purchase one of these!

  • you should have cleaned it up before taking off the cylinder

  • Ill buy it,seriously ill buy it.selling it?

    -ac

  • looks like no oil in the gas

  • i have a parts list if you want for the 246

  • did you check the adjustments on the carb?

  • maybe i should reaasemble it with the parts i have. i do not have a new cylinder kit but it would be the same thing. let me know

  • chainsaw so dirty carb and everything

  • i like your videos man

  • MORE TO COME

  • This is some very good info right here 5 stars !!!!

  • glad you like, more to come
