i think Toddlers in Tiaras isnt as bad as it's made out to be. just like childnren on TV shows like disney channel get to dress up, these girls get to look like 'princesses' and be like models. now then, the TLC reps should have stopped the woman from dressing up her child like that, but it's already been done. other then that, the show is perfectly fine imo.

I support the concept that stage performing is good for kids and their confidence level. But when they're being sexualized at this young of an age the consequences can become too severely detrimental to justify it. It's absolutely disgusting and it's horrid parenting. I don't know where in a decent parent's mind it becomes okay to allow your child to be objectified. Or for that matter, resemble a prostitute. Does no one remember JonBenét Ramsey? She was a pageant child and she died a horrible death with no leads to who killed her. I'm not saying it's ALL of the pageants fault but it probably did not help the case of showcasing this little girl around like she was a life-size Kelly doll (Barbie's little sister).
