we have 5 hens in our backyard, and they free range...so, everytime i come down the hallway and into the kitchen, they can see me through the patio screen door...and that's when they do what i call the 'sneaky pass-by'.
they slowly cruise by the screen door, while casually peeking in...to see if i am going to come out with some goodies. funniest thing ever!!
I used to have a flock of buff orpingtons that got too tame and constantly sat around on the porch. The porch/sidewalk pooping got so bad that I had to quit letting them out of their coop altogether.
you don't have to tame them if you hatch them from an egg and make them think you're the mommy chicken
