  • What's that song from Follies at the end?

  • Whyd they show those 3 Ghoulish looking people at the table?

  • @MadManicMan In the movie, the kids do various performances throughout the summer. The quick flashes you see at the end, including the one you are talking about are quick glimpses of those performances.

  • this is my favourite not-so-mainstream movie

  • Great flick.

  • Although it's already been said, that kid in the plaid pants is fucking AMAZING!!!

  • This movie is the greatest.

This is what got me singing.

  • Camp is playing on Showtime this month and will be on Logo tomorrow night.

  • I love that most of these kids went on to be successful in performing. Robin de Jesus got a Tony nomination for 'In the Heights.' Sasha Allen played Dionne in the West End's 'Hair.' Anna Kendrick is an Oscar-nominated actress. DeQuina Moore (the girl on our left in 'Turkey Lurkey') was in 'Little Shop of Horrors' and 'Legally Blonde' as well some Tyler Perry works. Tracee Blazer is in 'Memphis' and was in 'Hairspray' and in the 'Hello Dolly' revival. So much talent in this one little film.

  • ...and a huge shout-out to the foxy brunette in the jade green dress situated just to the left of the plaid youngster. Kudos to all!

  • Loves it! When ever I am in a bad mood I just dance to this song! LOL!

  • Thumbs up if WHATTHEBUCH Show Brough you here!!

  • @rasfi1 Yes, and I am addicted to this number.

  • @rasfi1 notice how NO ONE thumbed you up... :/

  • IM SO GAY!!! WOOOOOO

  • @FTMChocolateBearBoi okAii then

  • they certainly did better htan the broadway revival

  • ITS TURKEH LURKEH TIME >:D

  • Weak. . .sry = /

  • One of my favorite parts in Camp!!

  • They did a really good job on this, It's so close to the original yet they make their own feel to it. Great job :D I love it

  • This movie is awesome. I loved it sooo much I went into theatre. I have been doing it since my freshmen year of High School, and I am about to be a Senior in High School Now. LOL

  • I adore this song and performance! The '60s were so cool!

  • the reason high school musical was so much more popular is that the main characters were far more attractive, there are no gay people, and the songs are about love and high school, not serious theater.

i love this movie, just stating the facts.

  • Glee is such a knock off. Camp is so underrated. Cult film. Saw this in the theater when it came out.

  • What's Christmas without a little CAMP? So Merry Christmas [eventho....I'm atheist]

  • this movie is amazingggggg i need to see this again <3

  • They totally need to do this on GLEE! Those kids would rock it out...

  • WHO IS THAT BLONDE KID IN THE PLAID PANTS. HE IS WORKING IT OUT MORE THAN ANYONE!

  • @austinoutloud the blonde in the back is Patrick cubbedge. he is one hell of a dancer, I hope that answers your question

  • Little Disney boys and girls would never appreciate this. All they care about is Zac abs and Vanessa bod.

  • I absolutely love this movie :)

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED IT!

  • Could they get any flatter?

  • @americanboy99 this is the key the song is sung in....they are all supposed to be half soused

  • @brabon1 Yes, I just saw Promises, Promises this week on Broadway -- the song is sung at an office Christmas Party. I love the movie Camp.

  • this movie is much better than high school musical because it has classic stage musical numbers, amazing performances. not that over produced hyped up disney crap.

  • Comment removed

  • @milkbluemilk I agree but you gotta admit, isn't the acting kinda....well ya know....stinko lol! AWSOME musical numbers, Good choreography and very talented kids, I just feel the lot of them need an acting lesson or two.

  • Thankfully the performance isn't about the singing, because those girls are flat as hell.

    But the choreography's outstanding.

  • FUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

  • haha...anna kendrick in the background.....

  • Best number in the movie. Wish they hadn't intercut the other scenes at the song's end.

  • people have no taste

  • Rob Bieber sent me here ;D (Y) @JieberCops

  • Everyone knows that Camp Rock was a remake of this entire film right?

  • i would have loved to go there!!!

  • One of my favorites and this was WAY better than HSM!!! They actually have talent!!!

  • nobody appreciates the classics..... :(

  • i forgot how much i loved this film ='] i've not seen it in about 4 years XD so much better than HSM & Camp Rock. the music numbers are just awesome =']

  • definitely the gay themes prevented Disney from picking up....i just hate how she crinkles her nose at every close up LOL

  • i want to go to this camp so bad.

  • The jingle bells time is the best thing in the world!!!! They are so insync it just blows my mind

  • I fell in love with Anna Kendrick in this movie! She was a babe right from the beginning.

  • Technically, this movie isn't even that good (weak characterization, pedestrian direction, odd pacing) but the musical numbers they do are beyond amazing and totally make it worth watching.

  • Current Broadway revival of PROMISES, PROMISES is quite good--although the choreography is different, the three girls are great!!

  • MAN, that kid in the plaid pants was freaking awesome!!!!!!!!

  • @ipodchik -he's a very good dancer, he kicked ass out there

  • Actually a bunch of the kids from "Camp" have gone on to some impressive Broadway credits.

Anna Kendrick (Fritzi) wasn't only in "Up In The Air" but has a Tony nomination under her belt for "High Society". Robin de Jesus (Michael) has 2 Tony nominations for "In The Heights" and this year for "La Cage aux Folles". Sasha Allen (Dee) was in "Hair" singing lead in "Aquarius" and is currently in London in that show. And the list is far from complete.

  • I love this dance sequence.

  • oh lord !!!!!!!!! stop it !!

  • LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this movie, and this is my fave part of the film!!

  • i love the part at 1:24-1:33

  • LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hated this scene and song......... It's just stupid........ Don't ask, just hate it!

  • the Broadway is better

  • of course broadway is better, this is from a movie about a musical theater camp and the kids that go there. not a scene from the real musical. if they all sounded like the musical then it would have lost some of the realism that they are kids, not professionals-even though in real life they are both.

  • I LOVE that they did this song in the movie. This song is just amazing by Burt Bacharach. That son-of-a-gun was GOOD. REAL good :) (Talkin' about Burt ;)

  • Aww, DeQuina Moore when she was just a babe! I love this,

  • I absolutely LOVED THIS SCENE from the movie! is there any way i can find the full movie on utube??? ive searched for years now...:(

  • @dloudmouth28 You'd be better off just buying a $2 used copy off of Amazon :)

  • Oh and just one more thing: it's strange, but that little bit of "I'm Still Here" actually sounds remarkably like parts of "Knowing When To Leave", also from Promises, Promises. It's kind of how she holds the note, but still - I thought that was interesting. Thanks again for posting!

  • So strange. I saw this movie back when it premiered at a Thespian Festival (before the main release) when I was a Junior in high school. So at that time I had no idea what Promises, Promises or Follies were. Needless to say I kind of gasped a little at how enjoyable this was. Loved the slight mash-up of the two at the end.

  • I agree this is my favorite song n da movie....my "goosebump" part is da part right after the gurl does her dance solo all da way 2 da end....i luv it!

  • play video with single ladies.... uncanny

  • Comment removed

  • The endin always gives me goosebumps! Love this number!

  • I love this movie and this scene is one of my favs

  • I agree the kids really performed the heck out of this song.

  • This is hilarious. The lyrics are absolutely insane

  • These girls look ridiculous compared to the originals on Broadway!

  • how so?

  • this is one of the fun scenes in the movie...i love this movie

  • was this a deleted scene i dont remember the full song being in the movie?

  • no, it is the movie!!

  • im sorry i dont understand your wording?

  • This scene is in the actua lmovie, it wasnt deleted.

  • i mean ren

  • i agree this is 10000000000X better than hsm...this is one of my fav movies..and i love this song..this movie has some of the most amazing singers in the movie industry...and i think the boy who plays vlad should play rent in the new musical movie of footloose

  • i love this movie too rock on ur soooo right i love micheal or robin de jesus he is freakin awsome

  • yeas!!! This movie is the best.

  • @steve1rox you mean Ren

  • I don't know why Camp didn't become bigger than High School Musical, it even came out first.

  • It deals with real issues...sexuality, not fitting in....not the typical schmaltzy Disney storyline.

  • still they have dirty pirates that kill and drink and have a grand time ha ha. Gotta love Disney.

  • because people are stupid and think some scenes are bad even though camp is so much freakin better

  • @PhillyGirl1 HSM is fully Disney-fied. "Camp" actually dealt with some real issues like ostracism, homophobia, etc. And it seems to me to be a more honest portrayal of something that might go on a summer camp like this.

  • @PhillyGirl1 i'm guessing disney audiences aren't comfortable with the gay plot line. Camp is so much better, incredibly sweet and witty and the performances such as this one are fantastic.

  • @PhillyGirl1 i think its cause of some of the language and subject matter

  • @PhillyGirl1 Because Camp had characters with real problems and kids don't want to deal with that... they want farce... a guy who can't deal with liking something light taboo... oh no... what drama

  • @PhillyGirl1 Probably because it was independent, whereas High School Musical had Disney behind it.

  • @PhillyGirl1 the movie was made like a B movie... the acting meh, but the recreations of the broadway shows made this.

    and no one on disney.

  • @PhillyGirl1 ONE WORD-DISNEY!....if camp would have been backed by disney it would have blown up!

  • @PhillyGirl1 It's ironic, High School Musical was way gayer than Camp and Camp is a specifically gay themed movie :P And this number is absolutely amazing!

  • @PhillyGirl1, I was the gay content. Evan if there are on gay sexual scenes, people are still squeamish about this topic. The music was tight. The other thing is the musical content was not contemporary pop cultural mainstream. The majority of today's youth are not trying to go to Broadway or see plays or live acting performances.

  • @PhillyGirl1 Because the cast weren't deemed "hot enough to drool over or to brainwash kids" like the cast of High School Musical was and the music used is also not in everyone's tastes so they let the movie fade instead of letting it rise

  • @PhillyGirl1 Because camp shows actual teens. HSM shows perfect people with a tiny bit of drama, who randomly break out singing in the hallways. people dont want to see openly gay and lesbian people in movies.

    its stupid i know.

  • @PhillyGirl1

I know! This was so good!

  • haha love it :)

  • Why doesn't Todd Graff turn this film into a Broadway musical? Man, I wish I had the money to be a producer cuz I would immediately grab the rights for this and bring it to the New York stage. I know this could be a huge hit on the same level as Hairspray!

  • "Promises, Promises" had this song in it, but you're referring to Camp. . .

  • Always wanted to see a revival of "Promises, Promises" as well although it's surely dated. Great Bacharach score! 8^)

  • this is the shit and i love it

    camp is a amazing movie

  • This is one of the best numbers from the movie. I never get tired of watching Camp.

  • I don't know why but I am obsessed with this video! Especially the "Jingle Bells" breakdown at 2:32. Just totally joyous...

  • Was the girl on the right in the "Single Ladies" music video?

  • I LOVE this movie! It's so much more realistic both with it's musical numbers and writing. It's great to see classic music performed on stage instead of people unmeaningfully bursting into slip shot made-for-movie numbers. There's too much talent outside of Hollywood for the world to be fair :(

  • I have this movie on DVD!

Hahaha, I know all of the songs. :D

  • i love this movie its great even though its old

  • its only a few years old, isnt it? when did it come out?

  • no idea but i watched it in 2005

    we are in 2009

    4years

  • the description says 2003... read! =)

  • It came out in the summer of 2003. I saw it that August at the Landmark Cinema in Chicago.

  • whats the movie about??????

  • It's about a performing arts camp

  • Thanxs i want to see it now lol

  • It's kinda like Fame at Camp

  • basically

    but its a bit cornier

however, it kicks the shit out of camp rock

basically because the kids in this are all better actors and singers and the music kills

  • haha, so true. its so much better and cuter than camp rock.

  • for me, this is the most annoying song in the movie... i stumbled on this movie and love it!

  • are you kidding?

this is one of the best songs from promises, promises

if you ever get a chance to see it...do so

  • Robin de Jesus! He's awesome in this movie (and of course in In the Heights). And as Seth Rudetsky said, this is the worst song, but the best song at the same time, lol. They did such a good job with it =)

  • lol the song is so stupid but i like the dancing!

  • why are they so flat?!

    bahaha.

  • I love this movie.

  • That white girl needs to learn how to dance! Ugh! I still love this movie, though.

  • Gives me goosebumps! Great performance from a charming little flick.

  • i was in a show once and we danced this dance. and ive met joanna Chilcoat, the girl who plays ellen. if you want, comment and ill make a video of me and her. i see her each saturday

  • Woaw, these kids performed the heck out of this song. Great Job!

  • Comment removed

  • 'Promises, Promises' ran on Broadway for four years (1,281 performance) from December 1, 1968, to January 1, 1972. If that's an "altogether flop" all I can say is, "would we all be so unlucky"..

  • greatest movie ever created by a human iam a alien dud i spell that right 10/10

  • 1:19-1:21

  • haha funny! =]

  • The boy with the red sweater vest was checking out the girl's ass!LOL!

  • I love this movie.

If you love this movie, then we share something in common... meaning you'll like me!

    And my videos!

    Watch them? Haha.

  • I'm suppose to do this,loser.

    lol

  • I watched this entire thing waiting for the punchline. I got played. 1*.

  • my fave film

  • OMG this is one of my fav movies ever

  • i love this!

  • i love this movie!!!!

  • CAMP would run rings around "High School Musical."

  • i agree

  • This is a little more mature than HSM. I wouldn't let my 6 year old brother watch this, even though he saw some of it and said it was better than HSM. lol

  • i LOVE this movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love this song and CAMP is one of my favorite movies!!!

  • that white girl can't dance. no offense to her or anything

  • I love CAMP!

  • I love this movie SO much. =]

  • Ha Ha Ha im doing a color gaurd show 2 this!!!Woot Woot chhs!!!

  • I love this song; but then I'm old.

  • The middle blonde girl has something about her... that just makes me want to punch her in the teeth. Not just because her character is mean, but something about HER as an actress. Ugh. She annoys the hell out of me.

  • I completely agree.

I don't enjoy the harmonies in this song, to be completely honest. The choreography, however... Somebody had a lot of fun choreographing this!

  • She reminds me of Miss Piggy. I doubt if you're old enough to fully get that reference, but she acts just like her.

  • Ahahahahhaha i agree!!

  • You know what i think it had to do with? For me at least, after watching Donna mcKechnie (sp i know) and her mad crazy neck, seeing someone who doesn't literally POP her neck is annoying to me lol.

But yeah i totally dig the miss piggy haha
