  • are you vta or recirc? i have an 04 wrx and i have surge problems with my turbosmart bov. im vta and have a cobb tune.

  • @HolyBBSProduction I'm vent to air man, surging hey? yea i've never had any problems with that.

  • @cbr600boi thanks for replying man, so yea i went to hks ssqv 3 with a gasket and im vta with 0 surge. I love this bov. stupid turbosmart bov...

  • What exhaust do you have on that?

  • @DerrekT In this video, it was a cheap bolt on ebay exhaust with a 5 inch tip. Couldn't drive a block without being notiiced by the police. lol

  • You still drive this thing?

  • @isack123456789 Do you know who i am?

  • I'm a Muscle Car kind of guy, especially Mustangs lol.

This sounds sexy, I love Subarus

  • @559Dannyy Thanks man!

  • Wait, so you had a factory STi with the BPV and you just added the BOV without taking anything off/adding any other part?

  • @helloimD4NNY Yea man, basically bolt on parts. I got it tuned out a little after the blow off valve though

  • is the wrx/sti like the evo where you have to install MAF w/e to it to vent the BOV to the air. ?

  • @jthaoz ???

  • @cbr600boi Lol, i don't know how to explain. Does Sti have a sensor on the intake where it controls the flow of the air? if that makes sense at all. lmfao, like Dsm(s)/Evo they have a little square box on the intake.

  • @jthaoz Yea, it's got a mass airflow sensor. It measures the airflow into motor. The blow off valve is a completely seperate piece of equipment though

  • @cbr600boi yeah that's how Evo are too. so you would need MAF. that's the thing to make you able to vent the BOV. if you were to vent the bov on a evo without MAF or w.e. it'll be running rich or differently. if you understand i am saying..again lol.

so this one is vented bov in this video?

  • @jthaoz Um... i never installed a MAF. It came from the factory with one and i'm pretty sure all new vehicles have them. My blow off valve is Vent to air

  • @cbr600boi I think what he means is do you have to do anything to the MAF since it's normally a recirc. On Evos once you vent to the atmosphere it messes with the MAF since it's not getting the air it thinks it should be when you lift and can cause the ECU to mess with the timings.

  • @cbr600boi You have nothing to worry about. MAF is used to measure the amount of air through your intake. Be it cold air or whatever. BOV has nothing to do with that and actually relates to the turbines. If you are questioning if you have a sensor like this in your car, you do. Just wanted to say you have nothing to worry about as they are completely unrelated. It would be like me asking if you had to hot wire your catalytic inverter with brake light fluid while installing your BOV...

  • love love love that blowing sound!!!!!!!!!! keep it up man.

  • Hi, may I ask what "Stage 2" means? COBB Stage 2?

  • @Rapagangsta A COBB setup would be an accessport to tune your vehicle. But no my stage 2 setup was locally tuned using a computer to reflash my ECU. But to answer your question, A stage 2 setup can be anything that tunes your car for a turbo back exhaust system and an intake of somesort.

  • that sound dirty bro!

  • that sound dirty bro!

  • chinese touch my heart with there cars how do they do it jajaja i love the sound of impreza VOB

  • @ricky021291 valve off blow?

  • serious?......

  • is there a bird in the engine???

  • Sounds Very similar to mine, ive got an 07 greddy TI-C catback and ssqv aswell, sounds amazing :)

  • that sounds maen, i love dat psssssh sound, i jus got a v4 sti, and plan on doin same bov, is ur one ssqv3????

  • damn why are SSQV so high pitched. doesnt sound natural.

  • sounds tight

  • subaru sounding very light modded lol u change the intake manifold in it the wrap around ipei it will sound much better u change exhaust?

  • @paulam128 um........ what!? that was all one sentence?

  • @cbr600boi i think he meant, your car is fuckin sexy.

  • you run into any problems after install bov? have u ever tuned ur car?

  • no problems with the blow off valve since it's been on the car. My car was street tuned for stage 2

  • @nakedgun09 I installed the HKS SSQV in my '05 STi and I experienced waaaaay more turbo-lag, engine stumbling, and loss of throttle response even though I plugged the return hose. I later recirculated my HKS SSQV and all of these problems were resolved and my car was back to it's original state. PS I also run a stage 2 tune, with an aftermarket 3" turbo-back exhaust, and aftermarket intake. Check my vids to compare.

  • whats that psssh noise?

  • seriously?

  • @cbr600boi

    LOL @ bjburner7!!!

  • When the car reaches it's maximum RPM it opens up a different dimension and closes as soon as it opens because the gear is changed. =) Its a BOV (blow off valve)

  • @bjburner7 - Are you fuckin' kidding me... what are you doin lookin' at Blow off valves if you dont even know what they are??

  • @Hoffmada1994 - HAHA YES im fuckin kidding you. sorry its hard to express sarcasm with a keyboard. but ill work on it. i was looking at BOVs simply to see what kind of "psssh noise" i wanted on my 92 Mercury Sable with tan pleather. shes a beast and i want her to sound like shes sneezing every time she goes down the road cuz its badass. FYI: this message is intended to be read in a sarcastic manner and not to be taken litterally. Thank you and have a marvelous day

  • @bjburner7 DUDE ?

  • @bjburner7 SMH !

  • @bjburner7 come on man..thats infamous

  • @bjburner7

hahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahaahahah thats the blow off valve buddy

  • @bjburner7 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOB :)

  • @bjburner7 u serious man?

the title has already told u

  • @bjburner7 hahaha

  • what insert do you have for the bov

  • Silver insert

  • Any chance your parts are Cobb and you tune with the Cobb Accessport? If so, you're runnin almost my exact setup on my '05 STi.

  • No i got no cobb parts. So we are different. lol

  • Ah, sounds very similar. My mistake and very nice car.

  • Is this stock 04 STi?

    Thanks

  • No it is not... i'm running a street tuned stage 2.

  • What kind of modification have u done in stage 2?

    Thanks

  • -3 inch turboback exhaust. -Cold air intake -Blow off Valve

    and the ECU tuned

  • Thanks bro, may i know what ur STi's Horse power right now?

    Thanks

  • I've never had my car dyno'd but i would guess about 260-270 whp

  • I see, a very nice & good car u got there bro.

  • lol i was bored at school and decided to watch this again, i love the sound of the your BOV haha

  • is that a bird chirping?

  • Um.... no dude. It's a blow off valve. It mounts onto the intercooler and releases pressure from the turbo charger

  • wow "is that a bird chirping" lol

  • wow that sounded sexy

  • you have one subscriber ME :P haha

  • lol thanks dude
