She was a very special performer. I can hardly imagine the strength required to do this, and presumably a need to work through a considerable amount of pain with those repeated dislocations. I hope a video of her Roman Rings act surfaces.

Yes, I know, she showed me an actual video she had of her act (it was originally the old reel to reel converted to VCR at that time), but I can't remember if this was the one. But, seriously, physically her body is in excellent shape, and she stays on the move, no reason that "62" should slow you down.
If this was in 1965, then this was nine years before Italian Fernanda Perris performed her record-breaking planges act at the 1974 Monte Carlo festival, of which a video is also on YouTube!
As I posted under Fernanda's video Vicky Unus's record is 253, Lillian Leitzel did 249, and what I believe is the the all time record by Erma Ward of 365!!!
Her work on the roman rings is impressive. Not shown in the video but performed as the camera was panning the arena was a move where she hung from a ring with one flexed arm with her legs extended in front of her!
LaToria was one of the most incredible performers the circus world has ever seen. All or nothing 100% of the time. Always in the Center ring. Star billing. She never did any less than 100 even after losing a finger when it was bitten off getting ready to go out for spec. That kind of strength and determination is rare. Miss Unus embodied the strength, the beauty and the class that was LaToria Sorceress of the Stratosphere
