Civil service is the distribution of wealth received on a "sliding" scale to a persons income (taxes), to benefit the community at large EQUALLY with no consideration of race, color, creed, national origin, income, gender, sexual orientation, level of education, manner of dress, or location or value ones household. Social service (socialism) is the RE-distribution of wealth from those who produce the most down to those who produce the least. It is nothing more than sugar coated communism light.
The difference between the "civil" service and social services, are that civil services are there to support everyone regardless of social class, such as the fire and police departments and post office. Social services almost always benefit "specific" social groups, whether it be low income, racial minority, or specific neighborhoods. There are other subdivisions as well, old, handi-capped, mentally ill, mothers and children etc. The police are hardly the same as a state run food bank.

If drugs like Marijuana were legalized for private use, then the drug trade would be less profitable, and of course, I support anti-drug education like with alcohol and tobacco. On the other hand, as the fumes from tobacco and other drugs are known to be harmful, I wouls ban the use of drugs in any place where a non consenting person can smell it for public safety readons.

The difference between the "civil" service and social services, are that civil services are there to support everyone regardless of social class, such as the fire and police departments and post office. Social services almost always benefit "specific" social groups, whether it be low income, racial minority, or specific neighborhoods. There are other subdivisions as well, old, handi-capped, mentally ill, mothers and children etc. The police are hardly the same as a state run food bank.

In a true socialist gov., since it directly controlled by the people, it is impossible for the people to create a government that treats them as property and controls them. @markbotv3 These countries didn't DEVELOP into authoritarian dictatorships, and although each case should of course be reviewed seperately, places like Russia turned authoritarian as soon as the revolution took place. One of the first things that Lenin did was take away power from the Workers Soviets and move it to the inner party. A true socialist society does not have politics as we know it with inner circles. True Socialism is true direct Democracy.

@markbotv3 There are two ways to look at life for a person who has at least somewhat suceeded in life. One way is to say "I succeed because I am hard working and perseverant, others fail because they are lazy. They should go through all the struggles that I went through" Another way to look at things is "I succeeded, but I don't want other people to have to go through all these hardships, I want to make life better for other people in the future" That is the fundamental difference between us.

@markbotv3 I disagree with this whole concept of a "war on drugs". If drugs like Marijuana were legalized for private use, then the drug trade would be less profitable, and of course, I support anti-drug education like with alcohol and tobacco. On the other hand, as the fumes from tobacco and other drugs are known to be harmful, I wouls ban the use of drugs in any place where a non consenting person can smell it for public safety readons.

@mukmakumkum i agree ALL drugs should be legalized their is nothing in the constitution that gives the federal govt the power to tell the individual what they can or cant put into their own body. and it WOULD cut the throat of the drug dealers economically. its the CHURCHES job to preach right and wrong not the govt...seperation from church and state.
