These stockcars dance all over the place and it's a constant battle just to not spin out every turn. Indy cars go much faster but are easy as hell to drive. Especially compared to the COT, NW, and Trucks.

Just go to your nearest 50 MPH speed limit road, stand by the sign and watch the cars blow by you. That's how much faster an IndyCar would pass a stock car while both are going top speed.

Excellent Performance. I'm French ARCA and NASCAR as i can, i know it's more difficult than single-seater or prototypes, and she's in top 10 a final lap. really an awesome performance for a Indycar driver and a woman, Montoya, Papis and Ambrose can't make a better result their first stock-car race! But don't be euphoric too early, her season will long and intense with Indycar of course, and other ARCA and Nationwide races. ;-)

Danica has never raced NHRA. This isn't a question of her gender, it's a question of why she has a top dollar ride when, with the exception of her lone lucky win in Japan in 5 years of IRL racing, she has not won since her career in the WKA. As a racer, I have seen many fantastically talented women race, but none of them will ever have a shot at the type of career Danica has. Why? Because they're not marketable. Danica's career basically says that women can only succeed through sex appeal.

I'll be more impressed when she does the same thing in a Sprint Cup race. ARCA and the Busch (I'll never be able to call it Nationwide) Series used to be about independent teams and developing amateur drivers. Now, you have super teams that outspend all of the grassroots teams in these divisions. Danica had the best car that money could buy in that race, and she finished 6th. Whether it's her first stock car race or not, she's not exactly a rookie. Good drivers will win despite their equipment.

Man, ARCA really needs to think next time about who they let in their Daytona races. It seems like every year the spotters or drivers are making REALLY dumb mistakes that people shouldn't make. And I think it's all figured out now. Danica was BORN to race ovals. She had SUCH a nice save. And I LOVED it when she rubbed on Ricky at the end. Carmichael has quite a future himself.

She is not yet a pro at stock cars, but showed great talent and potential. her goal this race was not to win necessarily, but to gain valuable seat time and to get comfortable with the car. she showed great control of the car when she spun, and there is a specific time/way to let go of the steering wheel while spinning. i am not completely familiar with it, but i know it saves one from breaking fingers in an Indycar because of the force of the wheel. Daytona is not an easy track

The only thing about daytona is that its deceptive. You can take an average driver put them in a decent car, have them huge the bottom all day and end up looking like a hero.

The only thing I saw is she had trouble in the draft staying tucked up behind people, And she pulled out of line way to early, Which is to be expected for any rookie at Daytona which is a track that relays heavily on experience to win at.

She still has some of the nuances to learn but as far as being able to go out there and not be a danger to herself or others I think she showed she wouldn't be.

She did very well her first time out. Too me she drove like she has done it for 20 years. Her save was the best i've seen in quite awhile. She drove her car like a pro not a first timer. And too boot she didn't settle for 5th, she went for it.

The only thing she needs too work on is drafting (staying in line) and bump drafting. Other than that she did very well. 9 out of 10 DP.
