i was shocked to learn that beast wars aired earlier that said, because i remember watching it on good friday, i must have been lucky, but in those day's i couldn't tell time, i just got up really early and watched everything on itv in the morning, i couldn't understand the program then, now i do and love it, my first experience of transformers.
I'm sorry to hear that about Beast Wars: not only is that still likely the best TF series of all time, but starting halfway through season 2, they frequently referenced Simon Furman's Primus mythos. I'd think college-age fans of the UK Transfomers comic would've been as enthused by that as we old-school fans in the States were.
Please tell me it's horrid non-sequel Beast Machines never aired in most European markets and I'll feel better.
@Bumblevivisector I agree, in terms of Transformers on TV I think BW is still as good as it gets. Sadly everything after season 3 here was VHS only and didn't air on TV at the time The whole series got a more respectable run on Channel Five in the mid-noughties, but has never had a proper DVD release yet in the UK, just a single "best-of" disc.
Beast Machines not only aired in its entirety but recently got two fancy season boxsets released by Sony. There is no justice in this world! :p
@Bumblevivisector and the seduling was so bad. they only aired it on holiday's and half-term's, so you never really knew when it would air, so episode's were even left out.
@bakura23 I think even those of us in the fandom and on the Internet didn't have a full picture of what was going on at the time. After the Good Friday incident I never trusted them again. Even when you knew BW would be on you never knew exactly when, or how much would be left when they were done with it.
A lot of fans were mad. I was LIVID. Of course nowadays instead of being at the mercy of a TV channel, if we wanna see something uncut we can just download/YouTube it. :p
Hello have you got a commercial for the Electronic Raging Hulk/Hulk Rage Cage. I remember it being from around 1997/1998.
Would be great if you did!
