Good question! I have not thought the issue of BDSM through and hate to comment. I have concerns about the level of respect shown with BDSM, but am not aware of it enough to say much. In a traditional sexual relationship, people can get carried away-there can be pressure to do more than one feels comfortable doing, because things were not negotiated in advance. When there is an element of BDSM added, a case can be made more respect is shown, because what will happen is negotiated in advance.
Very true. In most cases both are very aware of what is to happen and agree to it. Like everything else there are always people that take it too far. But for the most part is it mutual.
So as a straight guy and as an ex-Christian, I encourage all GLBTQ people to find their faiths.
But please, don't be a part of a religion that hates you!
Just be aware that even if Christians don't directly call you names to your face, they still do it behind your backs.

That's why I'm no longer Christian. I'm an Agnostic Theist and I have a much better relationship with my God than I ever did being terrified of imaginary hell as a Christian.
Some Christians view the story of the flood as an explanation people wrote that did not actually state what took place - just a way of saying God protects people from floods, and that God looks after those who are good. Not all Biblical stories were meant literally, so some Christians interpret most of the Mosaic books as being more symbolic.
Too bad the Christian dickheads made so many people feel unwanted.. they pushed all these people away who could have done wonders for the faith.
That's why I respect what you're doing. Like I say, 90% of Christians are assholes. But you must fall into the 10% that are kind loving people. That is rare.
And if that's the kind of Christianity you want, I'm all for it.
But the assholes who preach the "mainstream doctrine" can burn in imaginary hell for all I care, lol.

In Leviticus 20, God says that not only should homosexuals be killed, but also adulterers and disobedient children.
Yet when is the last time a bunch of Christians blew a kid's brain out in the middle of Wal-Mart? when's the last time there was an adulterer protest? There wasn't..
But there were plenty of gay protests.
This proves how ignorant and hypocritical most Christians are.

Because I use strong language and am brutally honest, most people refuse to listen to me talk about Christianity.
I find that most Christians are too scared or stupid to face what I'm saying logically. Like how the God of the Old Testament has a completely different persona from that of the New.
He is jealous and vengeful in the Old (see Nahum 1:2, Exodus 20:5 and Exodus 34:14).
But then somehow he becomes merciful and loving in the New?...
It hurt when I first realized that Jesus may not be the son of God and it was like a grieving process for many weeks before my faith finally just faded out.
It just frustrates me that I used to be one of those Chrisians.
The judgemental hypocritical asshole Christians don't realize how much damage they've done.
Oh well.. maybe they'll all get brain cancer like they deserve. I will pray for that, lol.
I've known some Christians who have looked toward Judaism, because they had some doubts about Jesus as the Son of God. I am a traditional Trinitarian, but many of the members of the Christian church I attend are not Trinitarians and do not really hold that Jesus is the Son of God. Some people like the Unitarians, because they are not so strong on the deity of Christ.
Many GLBT people were raised in the church, and find a lot of comfort from the liturgy and the rituals. There is also a social network in churches. When you've been raised in a faith, you want the benefits, minus the nasty problems.
I've been raised in the Christian faith and I understand what you're saying... but why be in a faith that literally despises a lifestyle that people can't help?

Not all Christians reject gay people. There are affirming denominations, congregations, and individuals. The affirming and gay congregations are pretty good. Much more gentle.
Where I live, they are a more potent force than the air force. All the air force can do is drop an A bomb or something. The mosquitos can make you wish they had dropped an A bomb.
