I'm all for a bit of Portswood love/bashing. Singing Pat is a legend, I used to work there when it was a Safeway. However the Polish have been in the Portswood area since the end of WWII so I don't see why so many people hate them?

@jus1o1 ‘ghetto’ has been used liberally to represent the fact that there's a constituency of Polish people living in the town. Nowhere does the song imply that this is of detriment to the well-being of the town, therefore it’s not racist. A ghetto is a section of a city with cheap housing predominantly occupied by a specific ethnic group. Ghettos are typically associated with high crime levels, & with the recent stabbings & ‘Portswood Pervert’ you can’t say it’s the most peaceful town.
