Either by walking up behind a enemy and pressing X, or whatever system you're using. Or, you could use "heavy attack" and then grab. Note: some species can free themselves from a heavy attack grab combo.

QTEs happen during cutscenes to keep the game interactive. Trophy kills are much much closer to the "throw" moves in fighting games.

Like how how you only have to push heavy punch to pull off Chun-li's super cheap and broken throw.

It's a taunt kill dumbass, leaving you completely open to attack, and you have to stun them with a risky heavy attack before you can even do them from the front, and even then they can countered. So good job making an ass of yourself, Go back to Modern Warfare 2, oh wait, that game has one-button knife kills that are qucker and easier to pull off than these trophy kills.
