  • Is it wrong of me to think that some one need to get a LIVE 24 hr feed of a video like this? Have some one just jig for fish all day.. yep that would be the life!

  • Where abouts was this? :)

  • Tasty very good video!

  • Awesome.entertaining

  • a good vid ruined by the freakin music

  • What a fantastic video!

  • what camera do u use ??!!!

  • cod?

  • Awesome stuff!

    "Fish on ;-)"

Still laughing at that - looked like real good fun.

    Nice insight.

  • Good stuff! i'm no diver , but I think UK waters are really underrated and overlooked when it comes to diving, reefs and general life, I suppose the problem is when that water is pretty cloudy more often than not...

  • Hi Great video, How do you record the footage from the underwater camera? Onto a camcorder or a laptop? Thanks

  • Just to clarify - in the UK we call them Coalfish BUT in the States you call the same fish POLLOCK with two O's. NOT to be confused with the closely related fish we call POLLACK with an A in the UK that you don't get in the States!! The two fish are Pollachius virens (POLLOCK/COALFISH) and Pollachius pollachius (POLLACK). Confused ?

  • Thanks for that Tricky, didnt know that... Clears up the confusion

  • Hey ervandsarkisyan I do not know whether you noticed the little winking smiley at the end of my post but it is an indication of dry humour, meaning I know you can't photoshop a vid and suggesting they might be pollack when they are quite clearly coalfish.

read post completely before contradicting as you can make a arse of yourself when you are trying to contradict intended humour.

But then again maybe you can only see custard pie humour, ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

  • I would love to get underwater footage

  • Coalies, not pollack. Coalfish, saithe etc.

  • What kinds of fish are those? cod?

  • pollock

  • they don't seem all that phased by the fact that one of their buddies just got hauled straight out of the water. Not all that bright I guess. Great vid

  • I think there was only one fish in the last two clips and you just photo-shopped it a load of times just to confuse us with you trick question.

Or maybe the answer is none they were all pollack ;-)

  • You can't Photoshop a video.

  • great video, will check out some of your others.

Have put up one of mine, check it out, it is one of my favorite trips.

  • Whats confusing???

  • Theres a good eco system on that there reef pleanty of Marine life.

Are those empty Scallop shells ?

    .

I hope you have kept the location a secret.

    Fantastic vid though!

  • Yes they are all empty. There is a processing yard about 300yrds away and they used to dump them there.

  • where was this filmed...those look like black cod. awesome video...

  • In the Isle of Man, middle of the Irish sea UK. They are what we call Coalfish, but you maybe call them something different

  • Could you imagine living underwater? And being able to breathe underwater without the scuba tank? Awesome.

  • I PLAYED THIS VIDEO FOR my brother and he sat through the whole thing saying fishy, fishy. so we both look forward to more fish videos

  • Im glad you both enjoyed it

  • hey i bought the archos like you recomended ! it works great thanks

  • Great, i look forward to seeing some of your vids in the near future hopefully.

    Thanks

    Paul

  • this is a cool vid the music fit perfectly. it makes me wanna swim

  • what kind of camera is that and where do i get one?

  • Hi mate.

Camera is same as ebay item number 360041765985

The camera needs a 12v supply (i have a smallish 7ah one from Screwfix)

Also needs to be plugged into a screen of some sorts. Either a small car 12v screen, or something like an archos av500, if you just use a screen, you wont be able to record the footage, just view it as its happening obviously)

    Hope this helps

  • lol 2 fish go up to bite lure 1 fish bites it flies upward other fish swims away like nothing happend all the other fish dont care

  • how deep is that looks really deep

  • Not really that deep actually. The cable for the camera is only 65ft, then there is the drop off the pier, maybe 20ft, and a bit of cable left over. Id say 30ft at most....

  • wow...irish sea ..i didnt now that you could have such a good visibility there ...i am marine biologist , but never dived at that place...

    cool

  • where is that at alaska ? north sea ? new england ?

  • Irish Sea, Isle of man, 70 miles West of UK mainland

  • dude!!!!!!!!

thats freakin awsome i have never seen a shoal as big as that in my life!!!

  • I like the song and vid good job man

  • They arent mate, definitely Colaies... (i caught a few of them)

  • Those are Pollock they get up to 50 lbs!

  • cool vid :)

  • Very cool. Great footage. A Coalie?.....Looks similar to the Cod fish. How big do they get?

  • British shore record is about 25lb boat record is 37lb, But think they grow even bigger than that further north (Norway/iceland)

  • :0)

  • I really should read. Isle of man!

  • Great vid mate, where is this. I reckon it must be north east coast somewhere? Probably wrong tho

  • I agree with jayhanson24, this is probably the coolest thing ive ever seen. You're the master! I could watch this until my eyes bleed!! GREAT JOB!!

  • Thanks very much mate. Comments like that make trawling through 5 hours of footage to get the best bits worthwhile, glad you enjoyed it!!!

  • A wud love to do that even tho am scared of deep water lol..wud b soo cool just to escape down there wud be Amazing!!

  • I wasnt down there with the fish, the camera is on a long cable that we just lower over the side.... :0) Cheers for your comments

  • Ohhh =P Its really kool...gr8 video and np for the comments :)

  • did you catch any though?

  • I cant beleive my eyes... that is absolutely fantastic!!! You're amazing!!!

  • The stuff you can see at time drifting by is actually cooked edible crab meat. There is a processing place nearby and they dump the carcasses off the end of the breakwater....

    Glad you enjoyed it...

  • nice...

is that ground bait drifting by and drawing the fish in..?

  • superb, FISH ON!!!!
