You really should just release the film. I mean hey - everyone would like 10 thousand dollars buddy, but in the end it's up to you. I have several youtube videos with thousands of views, and no "thumbdowns". I released them about 3 hours after I took them.

@StoicFC I am not sure when the film will be complete. A recent fundraising campaign brought in only about 1/8 of the amount needed to complete the film.

I have a question.. The tattoo on Carl's chest has never been photographed. How does one know it did exist? Including the one on his arms.. All his photos are that of when he was inprisoned.

The 1/8 the fundraiser brought has to also be a direct consequence of our economic basis. It will take longer to complete but I really hope with time this movie is made. Please don't give up on it.
That Leavenworth file isn't available to the public is it?
@filmmakerjohnb The guy you got to play adult Panzram was not acurate. Panzram was known for his physical strength. He was a large powerful bruding man.
Guys, don't hold your breath on the release of this doc. Production has stopped with no timetable of it resuming(canceled). The site panzramdotcom that was made in 07 is set to expire on Sept of 2011. The first trailer was made over 3 years ago! Last time the site was updated is on 1/27/2010.

Anyway people, don't listen to this nobody- the film is in the final stages of editing and then will move into the final music and sound mix in the next several months and will be premiered this summer in my hometown of Chicago. This film is the most epic I have made with three different actors portraying Carl Panzram at different stages of his criminal career. The release of the film should be fall/winter of 2011.
@larry69691 I already made the best two serial killer docs ever made! :) All I ask is that you be patient. I self fund these films and have been working four years on this one because of numerous setbacks including losing a weekend's worth of filming three interviews due to a harddrive crash. I am doing my best on no budget. Give me some credit for getting John DiMaggio to portray the voice of Panzram as well as location footage from two max prisons and ten expert interviews.

What is the status of the film so far? I love your other two films on Fish and Holmes.
And Panzram is one who truly intrigues me the most. I can't hardly wait for this film any longer!

John I'd like to thank you for the making of this film. Especially after the great disappointment of Killer: A Journal of Murder.
I have read much on Carl & I am extremely ecstatic.
