I saw them last night in Oxford (me and 41 others - I counted!) and they were fantastic. They only played for 35 minutes though - not enough material yet?

Apart from the Hugs (who were great too) does anyone know who the other two bands were? I've been trying to find out all day and it is driving me mad. The second band were superb. Two guitars, no bass and a drummer - a real Fugazi/Sonic Youth/My Bloody Valentine type sound. I'd love to find out more about them. Anyone able to help?

You can see the comparison with glasvegas here, they're both wall of sound type bands, but I'd take RLC any day of the week, I love Glasvegas' lyrics but the feel of the songs is very samey, and for me its because the drummer really limits them. If you watch her drum (standing up, who does that), she looks awkward and is always playing near enough the same beat. People will eventually suss this! With a good drummer, glasvegas could be one of the all time great bands, but for now i'll take RLC!
