had something like this back in the 80's. Not sure of the name but it was an LP that had that exact version of Star Trek. Now it's going to kill me to remember what the album was called!

YES! you dont understand.. back in 1992 i was 2 years old and this cd was bought for me... i was raised to this music, and i dont find it surprising how this shaped my musical taste; both in the music I enjoy listening to, and the actual way I play the Bass guitar, synthesizer, and drum machine these days. My songs always seem to come out of influence from this cd. battlestar galactica is definitley the best track on the cd.
