Pogpog: no, I recorded this data with my old mobile, I spotted the ring in the water so decided to record when the tide went out so I could watch it in the future! :)
I know it's actually hard for people to accept but I actually did find these rings with eyes only back in the day but I haven't found gold or silver there for ages now :(.
As said before I recorded this special moment for my purpose only to look at in years to come but thought that others may enjoy seeing my luck in finding things!
@BigTylerAustin It does look like it doesn't it, I wonder if people leave it down there or something as I'm always finding gold and silver down there and they just seem to appear from nowhere! I saw this ring in the water so I waited for the tide to go out a bit further and recorded for myself as I can look back to this awesome time! Thanks for the comments everyone!
Another year and this ring would be black as I found the other one which was gold but black in colour due to the alloy reacting in the 9ct gold. I do love the 24ct gold look though when I find these rings; all with the eyes! Hope that answers your question and sorry for any spelling mistakes.
I know because I am very knowledge in gold as I deal with it as my career, it has a full english hallmark for '375' 9ct gold and the reason it has brightened up like this is due to the salt reacting to it, it depends what alloy is used to make it with and how long it's been there.
I wasn't using a metal detector as I always find the gold and silver on the surface of this beach asit is unique, I did take a metal detector down there once and found nothing and then the detector broke somehow? The next day I went back with just myself and found a gold chain with my eyes!
I do have a metal detector though which is a minelab safari, my old detector is a viking VK20. I've never found gold with my detector but strangely I find gold without it; alot of gold!

I clicked on this cause it looked 24k. Are you sure its only 9k how do you know is it marked somewhere?
MUDSWAT 1 year ago
Wow! I found a 24k that looks just like that one. Sent it back to the owners in Hong Kong. Great find and best in 2010.
