I remember a wreck that was very similar during a Southwest race here at Phoenix in 1998

no I believe the #20 was Steve Portenga. I remember Ricky Craven won this race!!! In the SB III Motorsports #58 Turbine Solutions Ford. I was thrilled to see him win the Winston West race.

That was the NASCAR Winston West Race at California Speedway in 1999. The drivers are Brendan Gaughan in #20 and Gary Nelson in #7.
