Not trying to be a jerk but I agree but it wasnt the Governments fault. A farmer walked up on them and they decided not to kill them and they went back and told the Taliban that they were there. RIP SEAL Team 10.

Think about this, if the guys had killed the herders you know how our fucked up society works today... they'd be portrayed as criminals for it. To the men and women that are in the United States Military...they will never be forgotten for there heroism. Our nation is in great debt to you and your fellow comrades and I pray that all of you return home to your loving families... Lt. Micheal Murphy sacrificed his life for his men his so they could see there families again and live there life in peace...Marucs Lutrell wrote the book "Lone Survivor" for the courageous people he went to fight with.

on June 28th 2005 Afghanistan, 4 Navy SEALs set out to locate a terrorist leader. They were discovered by unarmed Afghani goat herders. The SEALs decided to let them live which led to the Afghanis calling the Taliban. 4 SEALs against 150-200 Taliban the SEALs killed most of them until they ran out of ammo. The Navy SEALs fought to their deaths. 1 left. A rescue heli carrying 8 SEALs and 8Army pilots was shot down by an RPG before they could rescue them. 11 SEALs KIA Afghanistan.

Marcus was given sanctuary by local pashtun village that ironically hates america but because of "lokhay"(a 1000 year old tradition of helping someone who asks)the taliban surrounded the village & the elder of village told them they would have to kill his whole clan to get to him, Marcuss was helped out the village & he & the elders son bumped into an us army ranger patrol searching for him the taliban still had them surrounded but let them go. An amazing story of special forces at war and sad.

their story is in my favorite book - Lone Survivor... These guys are heros, I highly recomend that book, and these are the type of people that our American Media should show us. They inspire hope and patriotisim, RIP.
