@miltonkid27 destroying it was better, it was literally 20ft from the brand new middle school and there already was a brand new high school, right before it was destroyed it was used as an elementary school and there was also a brand new one of those built, so essentially it would just be taking up space and being an eye sore
Seeing the bus stop where Dave Sullivan threw our biology class frog (Lloyd Bridges) out the window (cut up in pieces, thanks Dave) was ... memorable. Some buildings will always leave the memories long after the bricks are recycled - in Milton High's case, it might be that ghostly apparition which makes you gasp and ask, "Where's Walba?"
Oh my goodness, Bob that was sad! An old MHS friend of mine sent the link to me- Great song to go w/it too. It still seems strange to me that the new HS is where we went to Pierce. Thanks for sharing.
Joe Sweeny, Bill Fleming, Doug Ross, Paul Fitz, John Folan, Diesel, Stoney, Whinny, Micky, Av, Buce, Kel, Berry, Planta, Macadoo, feldhouse, aylwood, Linsky...we ruled that place for a time...
Perfect sound track for the video. Many of us have fond memories of MHS. It was a handsome stucture and we will miss it. The new schools are impressive also. We move on.
How sad! I looked at that building from half of the rooms in my home for many years. I went to many parent/teacher conferences, basketball games, cheerleading events, drama/music performances in that old High School. I watched as football teams celebrated outside the gym and parking issues came and went. The building will be missed but the memories will linger. Good bye MHS!
Thank you for showing this, brings back some memories. Nice production Bob. Sorry to see it go though. I will probally get lost when I go back to visit now. Dave MacWilliam, grad 1976
This is sad. Admittedly, I did not much enjoy my 4 years in this building, but it is nonetheless sad to see a connection to our past demolished with what seems to be little care. Buildings from this era are vanishing and replaced with more temporary structures. I guess our children will just have to take our word for what things used to look like and be like. -Sean O'Bryan, Class of 1986
Cool Video... Great music selection, but sad just the same to see all those memories torn down like that. Especially for so many who aren't around anymore.
my house is right next to it

This doesn't look like the MHS I remember from the 60's-70's......could it be an older building?
