Wow. To kill your own brother for a woman. I guess he doesn't love family. I think Jimmy had blue hair in the opening. Chins look tough, but if they need knives to fight, then they're not so tough. I always thought the black guys from Mission 1 who turned white in every other mission looked better as black ; )

this was the second ever game a played after mario in the early 90's .. i loved this game .. actually, this was the only game that i could not complete as a child. i used to play and conquer almost every game at that time .. i used to reach the final stage without loosing any lives but the second last boss use to kill me. then somehow this game was stopped at the game parlour i used to go to.. after almost 15 yrs i found this game in its nes version on PC and comlpeted it

Since the level 3, the game is like a Laberinth, if you go on the wrong path, you repeat the level.

This stage freaked me out as a kid...between the music which made me hyper, I think those stone pillars that looked like eyeballs with mustaches had a part in it.

oh that fucking wall makes me rage. I can get to Mission 4 without dying. Then that stupid wall, with no pattern to memorize, will knock me out twice. I have NEVER made it past that wall on the first try.

Holy Cow, this game is hard. I only got up to the 2 people (Abodo) in Mission 3 outside the cave. Never thought to go in the wall, and just getting up to that part I started with 9 Lives (Game Genie), had only 1 Life after I got up to them. The problem I have with this game the most is that you hit them, and than they hit back right away. I mean why is that way at all??

I know exactly what you mean. If that didn't happen, the game would be much easier but, more importantly, less annoying. A bit of advice would be to never use punches and only kicks as far away as possible. Doesn't always work, though.

@Predatorocks You ended up getting up to where most people get, also known as the "Abobo Wall"...I was stuck on this part for ages, and if I beat it, I'd fall down a pit after the cave area...If you watch the Mission 4 walkthrough, he makes it look easy enough...good luck!

@jf1gd2 system limitations prevented the NES version of Double Dragon from being an Arcade perfect port...a fate that was common in the 8 bit era of gaming.

Still, the Nes version was considered the best port at the time despite its notable flaws.

Wait for the second block from the top to pop out then make a run for it. Though, the pattern is not always accurate.

Again, being a baddie, Willy can duck, whereas Billy Lee can't. This refers to when the video says 'So you like ducking too?'

I have to comment AGAIN on the ducking. The Chins can duck whereas Billy Lee can't. This is a reference to where it says 'As ducky as ever...' Though it says that on the video because if you try to grab onto Chin and punch him whilst he's lying down, he'll throw you off unless he's very nearly dead.

Yeah, that was strange. Not as strange though as the time as I was playing Double Dragon 2 (Amiga Version) and Willy just fell off the level and died for no reason! (I think)

That's where I got that line from. The weird thing, though, is that I never heard him say that in any episodes I've watched but heard him say it at one point during that crappy first person shooter South Park game.

I don't know where Willy appears in DDII, but I know that in the 2nd to last mission where you're fighting in the carpeted room before the clone battle, the "Flipping Ninja Fucks" do the same thing sometimes. They might have replaced Willy with them.

You do fight Willy in the carpeted room in that version. He just fell through the ground!

And, by the way, one of the jokes in this video about Billy ("What is he, a cow?") is a reference to the Amiga version of DDII. (and maybe the arcade version too, I haven't played that one.)If you lost a life, Billy or Jimmy would actually cry and their crying sounded like cows mooing! XD
