  • Johnny is one of the Top 3 male 'pop' vocalists of the entire 20th Century...and that means, of all time. This version is Mathis - perfect.

The original by Richard Harris, is also A-1. Harris doesn't pretend to have JM's vocalism, but he has emotion...and, for RH, his version is perfect, too.

  • Na fantástica composição de Jimmy Web e na fabulosa interpretação de Johnny Mathis, um dos ultimos grandes interpretes da música comtemporânea !

Salve Johnny - Salve Jimmy !!! Ivan Bocalon

  • Flawless vocals and phrasing. Check out his live performance of

"If You Remember Me" on YouTube - with Marvin Hamlisch at the piano/orchestra. He has no peer. Bravo.

  • laying on my back the tears are falling in my ears............

  • AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH........staring at the ceiling

  • "Didn't We" is one of my favorite songs and just returned several times to listen. I love it! Tanks so much!

  • Perfect for love found, love lost. Then again Johnny never sings anything but perfect.

  • Sung with the tenderness, emotion and passion needed for such a song as this.

    Love it!

  • Nobody sings this song more beautiful than Johnny does. When a song is touched by him, well...it's his forever. This album is wonderful. Berit.

  • WHATS NOT TO LIKE ABOUT THIS VOICE

  • Just so beautiful! Thanks for posting

  • I have always loved Johnny Mathis..I always said no one can sing a love song like Johnny..This is beautiful....

The original Jimmy Webb wrote for Richard Harris in 1968...that too is also beautiful

    Thank you..

  • I love this song...

  • FABULOUS....

  • I love Johnny"s version of "My body Keeps Changing My Mind", from Mathis Magic album. Unfortunately I only have this on cassette and can no longer play cassettes. Would you have this song? and if so, would you please upload it so I may enjoy it once again. Haven't heard in many years. Thanks so much !!!

  • @mrspip5 The song is still only on casettes. Let me see what I can do.

  • @ReadMeReadYou I have this song on CD which is part of 16 most requested songs. Great version of a classic Jimmy Webb tune

  • I have loved Johnny Mathis since he first came on the scene. "Didn't We" is one of my very favorite songs. His version is so hauntingly beautiful and moving. Thanks for making this available for all to enjoy !!!

  • @mrspip5 I'm so glad you enjoyed it.

  • Wonderful!!! thanks for this version of Didn't We, written by Jimmy Webb. I think Johnny's version is musically perfect. And I love it. Also enjoyed it by Peter Allen.

  • Johnny' s version of "Didn't We?" and "Turn Around, Look At Me" are my two favorite recordings of all time. Both are poignant, beautiful songs, sung in a deeply moving, deeply heartfelt manner by the incomparable Johnny. There are a few lovely versions of "Didn't We?" but the only one that brings tears to the eyes and a lump to the throat is this one.

Thank you, ReadMeReadYou, for making this video available.

  • You're so welcome. It's interesting that you mentioned, "Turn Around Look At Me" because I have that one on my mind for a long time but I'm stuck (artistically). I love the way he sings this and that as well. But I love just about everything he sings. I put my favorites up, except for requests. Thanks for coming by and commenting and I'm happy you liked the song too.

  • Sturday Mornings in my house when I was young was filled with Johnny Mathis - My mother's way of starting her and my weekend off right. Thanks for bringing back a happy memory of my mom.

  • Thank you so much for sharing your memory of you and your mother. It's a lovely memory. Johnny has given us all memories of the best times of our lives.

  • Again I thank you, ReadMeReadYou, for posting one of the most haunting and beautiful songs ever written. Sung by Johnny Mathis, this gem reaches heaven. How wonderful. Thank you so much. Larry

  • And, thank you for being so nice and coming by and commenting.

  • In the movie Mr Hollands Opus, there is a line where he says, if you don't know what a song is about, then you can't sing it. Johnny Mathis showed he knew exactly what this song was about. He put the right tone and phrasing into it, that by the end of the song there is a lump in your throat. Perfectly delivered.

  • And, very well-said by you. Thank you so much for stopping by and commenting.

  • Angela, thank you very much my friend for sharing this beautiful video. This song is so beautiful (as all JM songs are).
