That happened with my sweet baby hammie about maybe 2 years ago, she stayed with us for about 3 days and got really bad wet tail, When i was coming home from school one day they told us she had died, and she had been improving the day before, but she was too weakened by the disease that if she lived, her immune system wouldnt last or a long time. yes after posting that a week later i found out he had pneumonia because i had gotten 2 new hamsters of different breeds and that just made his pneumonia trigger faster than before and i really didnt know that would happen getting two new hamsters sometimes i regret it because my hamster that died (Bubby) was such a joy but yet all hamsters are. so i named both my new hamsters in honour of him R.I.P Bubby I still miss you dearly

My hamster died april 1st (no joke!) 2010. He was only 11 months old.
My boyfriend and me didn't clean the cage for like 1 week and burned a candle every day. We miss him so much. He was the first hamster that both my boyfriend and me had.
This just made me cry :( I love these little critters so much that I really get hurt whenever another one went to the Rainbow Bridge. I got my first little Syrian Hamster, Skyler, just February 6, 2010. He had wet tail and mites, I gave him very little dose of Baytril and Ivermectin since we don't have Vets that know about them here in the Philippines. So glad he is still up and running 2 months after. I don't have videos posted of him on my uploads but he is a total sweetie just like Szarotka!

One of my hamsters had wet tail and recovered when it was discovered and treated. He later died of natural causes. Meanwhile, his wet tail did not affect or infect us.

Hi, I have been viewing your videos with your hamster pets, it seems that you have been giving them lots of food that should be given in moderation. I have hamsters 10 of them and they are going 3 years already and still alive. Hammy's really like to eat a lot, but it does not mean that you give different types of food. I read books and browse the net for hamster info, and thank God they're all alive and well.

My hamster, Qita died in october and she was only 14 months old and my friend had a hamster called Loulou in april 07 who had wetail and died only a week after she bought her. This vid made me so sad :(
when my hamster died, she was at the top level at her cage, she fell down, hit the floor, but she wasnt hurt at all, she was only alive for maybe 10 mor mins. after that, then she died :( she wasnt even 1 YEAR OLD we think she might of had wet tail. if Szarotka was a long hair, mine was long hair too, and she was the same color

cebollon, u do understand how feet work don't u? its not super dangerous. its only dangerous if she was holding the hamster down forcing her 2 stare at the sunlight. that's only dangerous because it can injure the hamsters eyes. "he got so hot and he got frozen" that makes no sense ur being very stupid & silly. Puchikumo is a great owner and gentle/careful w/ her hamsters.

I got two hamsters... I guess I wasn't a very good owner since one died... I guess it wasn't used to my house... It died today at 9:13am 7/5/08. I cried but how is that going to help. I hadn't eaten for two days or drank water and when I pet it today it felt cold so I put it on the table. it's legs and arm were shaking and 12 seconds later it died :'(. I cried for almost an hour :(

when my hamster died, she was at the top level at her cage, she fell down, hit the floor, but she wasnt hurt at all, she was only alive for maybe 10 mor mins. after that, then she died :( she wasnt even 1 YEAR OLD we think she might of had wet tail. if Szarotka was a long hair, mine was long hair too, and she was the same color

cebollon, u do understand how feet work don't u? its not super dangerous. its only dangerous if she was holding the hamster down forcing her 2 stare at the sunlight. that's only dangerous because it can injure the hamsters eyes. "he got so hot and he got frozen" that makes no sense ur being very stupid & silly. Puchikumo is a great owner and gentle/careful w/ her hamsters.

I got two hamsters... I guess I wasn't a very good owner since one died... I guess it wasn't used to my house... It died today at 9:13am 7/5/08. I cried but how is that going to help. I hadn't eaten for two days or drank water and when I pet it today it felt cold so I put it on the table. it's legs and arm were shaking and 12 seconds later it died :'(. I cried for almost an hour :(

Wow. I cried at the first 9 seconds, no joke. As soon as this ended, I spun around on my computer chair, opened my hammie's cage and cuddled him. I feel your pain. I lost my two female dwarfs. Pashmina, and Bishou, just last year. I'm like you. I don't think of my cats, and hamster as 'pets'. They're family. And I know that Szarotka will have a special place in your heart. xxxxx

i cried watching this. Because I've suffered 4 loss :(. my two dogs and two mice ;-; they can never be replaced because it hurts when you try to replace them because it makes you think of their furry faces.

sorry about what happened...but i see in your vids you feed them cookies, chocolates and stuff...i don't think it's a good idea to feed them those even if they love it. i'd say veggie and fruits for syrians...like3-4 times a week as treats...so they can live a longer and healthier life. anyways, i love all ur vids i just subscribed to your channel.

Tak mi przykro... Z wszystkich Twoich filmów najbardziej lubiłam te o Szarotce. Sama przeżyłam stratę chomiczka (nazywał się Szarcio) i wiem jak to jest.
Ale jedno jest pewne: dzięki Twoim filmom pamięć o Szrotce przetrwa jeszcze bardzo długo (a przynajmniej ja nie zapomnę ani o niej ani o Szarciu)

So sad. I used to have a hamster. She licked me on the hand and when I played with her she would crawl under my neck and fall asleep. She died a week before her 2nd birthday.
