Calzaghe hits HARD and he's as fast as the young Roy Jones. Pavlak is not a polished boxer and his experience is nothing compared to Calzaghe's. Not saying he's not a great fighter, but he's not even close to being in the same league.

If Kelly gets between 60-90 hard punches a round and Calzaghe throws 100 slaps... you tell me what a judge is going to do??? This is not amateurs. Each of Kelly's significant landed shots and even his misses will resonate in a way that Calzaghe's slaps can not and will not. Pavlik would win a decision if Joe can take the punishment.

You are absolutely wrong. But the bottom line is that Calzaghe is ducking Pavlik to fight Jones. From a business stand-point he might make more money fighting the old man Jones. From the standpoint of the best fight for the boxing public: Calzaghe is a coward.

After watching Pavlik-Lockett, I believe that Pavlik is ready to take on Calzaghe. A 7th or 8th Round TKO would not surprise me.

I have zero interest in Calzaghe-Jones. It's as bad as De La Hoya-Mayweather II would have been.

Mayweather-Cotto and Calzaghe-Pavlik are fights I would love to see.

Calzaghe is not necessarily a coward, he's just greedy.

pavlik is a very powerful puncher, a bit slow,but great never the less. I am a fan, and what up with the Ali talk here, he was a smart fighter, but my gosh he really didnt throw alot of punches at all, he was really boring to watch, but i respect him and what he accomplished.

He lost to Frazier after he made his comeback with a 3 year lay-off.

He mentally beat the Great George Foreman.

He won the HeavyWeight Title probably after the onset of Parkinsons...

He said he's the greatest heavyweight and that is a legitimate argument.

He is the best thing that ever happened to the sport.

Boxing needed him the same way it needs Pavlik today. Boxing needed an outspoken entertainer and Ali fit the bill.

Today with the onslaught of MMA boxing needs someone who doesn't talk but performs and shows why boxing is epic and specifically skilled. MMA is fad.

In this era, Pavlik is the best thing to happen to boxing.

The other good thing about him is his knowledge of the game...the tactics he employs and how he reads things,he reminds me of Lennox Lewis (cool,relaxed) i think we might have Kelly Pavlik around for quite a while!
