  • This is my favorite song...not just in the movie (although it's my favorite movie!) but my favorite song period. Has been since this movie came out on DVD. LOVE Eugene Levy, he's quite a talent on many levels. Thanks, this song melts me every time...

  • I am glad that I am not alone in appreciating the genius in this music, and the talent of those in this movie. The movie is that much more hysterical to me, considerring the people involved and how brilliant and talented they are. From "Lenny" to "Earl Camembert" to "Sue Sylvester", the talents these actors poses go far beyond the silver screen. This movie may have been intended as a "mocumentary", but it exposed the sheer brilliance of those involved.

  • Gorgeous song, fantastic voice on Eugene Levy. Who knew?

  • Laslo: Thanks for your very agreeable comment, and I also remain stumped where YouTube performance video comes from. The whole song's AUDIO runs over movie's credits, but I also don't remember seeing the video performance anywhere on special features of DVD. Might be there, but don't recall. YouTube contributor DASmithCPA (see above) should know, of course, right? (Duh!)

  • @EasierESL This performance is on the DVD as an extra -- in the mocumentary of the actual concert. There are also "music videos" of the "original" renditions of some of the songs. In the movie itself, "A Kiss At the End of the Rainbow" is heard while we see the reactions of other characters; in the "concert" footage, you can see the on stage performance.

  • Probably the sweetest, most endearing and commercially melodic songs ever to originate from any American comedy film, especially a broad satire meant to patronize and poke fun at folk music. Yet THIS tune survives as a potentially viable genre hit!

  • @EasierESL As a professional musician with over 30 years of experience performing all styles of music and specializing in classical music and the great composers --- I concur. This is an intelligent written and extremely lovely song. Simple. Beautiful.

My question: this was not in the film, nor was it in the DVD PBB Special. Where did this come from???

  • BEST DERN SONG IN THE MOVIE!

  • What a nice song...Levy's voice really appeals to me!!!

  • このシーン大好き!

  • This song always makes me want to put on comfortable shoes and dance......

  • @athomeatthepianobar How does one dance to this????? Dance doesn't seem to go well with folk music, unless it's that kind of Hillbilly dancing, I guess.

    So how do you dance?

  • nice!!

    キッチンでうたってるシーンもいい

  • For not being professional musicians and singers, Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara do a great job on this live performance.
