  • @rob9317 I didn't consider overdosing, I did overdose

  • I just got prescribed 25 mg tablets of this stuff, 2 per day - Had 2 last night and woke up this morning with what can only be described as the worst hangover in my life. As a warning to others - Be careful with this chemical!

  • @lunarshift I stopped taking it well when I overdosed. And I am still suffering from that to this day which is over 6 months ago now! It's thinned lipsand my skin out, I am getting chronic pains and the doctors won't do anything other than offer me more pills for the pain which only makes things worse because it's adding more chemicals to my body. So I have completely stopped taking anything. The only thing that has been taking the edge off it is hyluronic acid.

  • I've had zero side effects from the amitriptyline, and my psych told me when he prescribed it that it usually has very few side effects attached to it. He didn't mention anything about skin problems.

  • I take amitriptyline each night for insomnia-- it's a sleeping pill for goodness sake! I'm surprised your doc didn't tell you that, dunno what the hell he was thinking. It's also a mild anti-depressant. Which, as is true with all anti-depressants, can have the opposite effect for some people.

  • @illusions142 Yeah he gave it me for nerve pain but it just really made me suicidal like nothing I've ever taken. I thought Zoloft was bad ages ago when I took it, but it made me feel like I was on some kind of speed rather than depressed. I would never ever take amitriptyline again though.
