How I KNOW she worked hard at the time is none of your business. But I DO KNOW that she was working very hard. "Magibon" is really Margaret. She is 25, and was a stripper known as "Heidi" for two years in Orlando until her husband died in Iraq then she went back to Penn. I don't know why the Japanese are head over heels about her, to be honest there's SMARTER people out there. They are impressed at the way that she learned Japanese on her own, and how old is she? She started making videos just to see how it worked and people from Japan really started to like her. Her View count went through the roof even though she didn't try to make it happen. She was taken to Japan by Gyao for a week and then returned for the Tokyo International Film festival, after doing the voice for a movie that was being shown there. She returned again for the YouTube live Tokyo event and has been there ever since. She does commercials and other celebrity events now.
She is doing commercials now but has plans to become a singer. There is an article in Ping Magazine about it, and also it clears up a lot of misconceptions about how and why she is drawn to Japan.

Those of us who have supported her through this journey have done it because she has shown the determination to try something nobody thought she would be able to do. She doesn't give up no matter what people say about her. I think that's an admirable quality for a person to have. She's polite also. You only forgot one thing, unless a human is willingly unmotivated to the highest degree, the benefit of having many people supporting you from the beginning of absolutely doing nothing at all in front of camera is enough motivation to get even the laziest people to keep going. Hell if were to post one video of me doing something stupid with atleast a 50% positive comment ratio, I would show "determination" too. Oh and sometimes people need to be rude, the real world isnt always sunshine.

It's not polite to stare at people. I agree with that. But Magi just looks out into cyberspace and allows you to be creative and accept it or reject it. Most creative people I've talked to look at it as an art. Some just think it's silly. God knows, many have tried to copy her style and have failed. By the way, She has many videos that are much more than just staring. Some are funny and some are informative. Find one of those to watch before you count her out.

Well I have not known of Magibon till recently, I have seen many of her her videos I have only found one to be "clever" in any way, so I guess this is all a matter of opinion. Everyone has a dream and I understand that only a handful of people accomplish or strive for them, I am one of them and I am sure you are one of them. I understand that being rude is a choice as I am one of the polite ones, but the fact is being rude is part of the human condition and part of life as night is to day.
Go to gameboyz2's channel and he has archived many of Magi's older videos. Before she became a partner she made many videos that aren't available now unless you find them from people who have saved them . Another place is InnerCircleKnights. Also BlueBalckShoe.

Magibon has worked very hard to make all this happen. It didn't just fall into her lap because of the nothingness series of videos. I also like Happyslip and I think she's great but Magi took her life and instead of wishing for a change, had the courage and drive to make the business decisions that allowed her to live out her dream. First of all Muskrat1234, Magi is not an anime obsessor. She is a young lady from Pennsylvania who had a goal to live and work in Japan. Now she is living that dream because of all the hard work she put into achieving it. Yes WORK. I know people say she does nothing but those people are wrong.

I'm glad she got to live her dream. I'm studying Korean and I really love Korean culture I've been wanting to visit Korea for at least 5 years now and finally my dream is coming true this summer, I'm going to Korea for 7 weeks to visit my boyfriend ^ ____ ^ Of course I have many more trips planned for the near future, including a study abroad. Good for you Magibon! : ) She seems to genuinely like Japan, not for superficial reasons.

If you would check gameboyz2's channel you will see that she used to post many different kinds of videos, but when she became a YT partner she had to stop doing certain things in order to not violate her terms with YT. All of her fans, including me, would like to see her post something different. Hopefully she will be successful in Japan and we will see videos like the goomotv videos. she just wants your support and giving it is free

But actually she has been working on her career in Japan and she was being represented by Amuse for a while. If you read down through the comments I have explained this before. I have to say that she has missed many opportunities during the time she has been in Japan, and I can't explain any of that. She is more reclusive now. This video is 2 years old.

They should go to medical school, or do advanced placement classes/honor classes with perfect attendance, and try to work in a greenhouse as a side job that gets 110 degrees on the inside and THEN attempt to tell me what's hard and what's not.

Like mid 20s!! There's KIDS that learn on their own and speak whatever language at 12, 17, 18 ! She started making videos just to see how it worked and people from Japan really started to like her. Her View count went through the roof even though she didn't try to make it happen. She was taken to Japan by Gyao for a week and then returned for the Tokyo International Film festival, after doing the voice for a movie that was being shown there. She returned again for the YouTube live Tokyo event and has been there ever since. She does commercials and other celebrity events now.

You only forgot one thing, unless a human is willingly unmotivated to the highest degree, the benefit of having many people supporting you from the beginning of absolutely doing nothing at all in front of camera is enough motivation to get even the laziest people to keep going. Hell if were to post one video of me doing something stupid with atleast a 50% positive comment ratio, I would show "determination" too. Oh and sometimes people need to be rude, the real world isnt always sunshine.

Most creative people I've talked to look at it as an art. Some just think it's silly. God knows, many have tried to copy her style and have failed. By the way, She has many videos that are much more than just staring. Some are funny and some are informative. Find one of those to watch before you count her out.

Well I have not known of Magibon till recently, I have seen many of her her videos I have only found one to be "clever" in any way, so I guess this is all a matter of opinion. Everyone has a dream and I understand that only a handful of people accomplish or strive for them, I am one of them and I am sure you are one of them. Go to gameboyz2's channel and he has archived many of Magi's older videos. Before she became a partner she made many videos that aren't available now unless you find them from people who have saved them . Another place is InnerCircleKnights. Also BlueBalckShoe.

I'm studying Korean and I really love Korean culture I've been wanting to visit Korea for at least 5 years now and finally my dream is coming true this summer, I'm going to Korea for 7 weeks to visit my boyfriend ^ ____ ^ Of course I have many more trips planned for the near future, including a study abroad. Like check out her nails, only Japanese like those really long, skinny, freakishly painted nails. She keeps up with current Japanese trends and she honestly seems to like Japan a lot. I wish all the teens in North America were like her rather than be angry, negative and critical all the time at least she chased her dream and got what she wanted and most of all shes happy and I'm happy for her.

lolita she is pretty with large eyes and she stares at cameras she really didnt do anything to achive her goal of going to japan...what are the fat and ugly teens suppose to do?they have to work through highschool and maybe after 4 years of college they can go chase after dreams

She's not mean she's nice in every video she says hi and good bye, most people dont have manners to say that
But shes boring, the internet and youtube are for posting interesting stuff like why the dinosaurs become extinct or two giant marshmallows fighting.

Many people actually like the nothingness series of videos. If you would check gameboyz2's channel you will see that she used to post many different kinds of videos, but when she became a YT partner she had to stop doing certain things in order to not violate her terms with YT. All of her fans, including me, would like to see her post something different. Hopefully she will be successful in Japan and we will see videos like the goomotv videos. she just wants your support and giving it is free

Lets hope she does... but as you say, a bunch of people like that kind of videos and what can she do if people ask her to do them. Its very nice of her having the patience to post videos for them.
I wouldnt like a bunch of freaks mailing me "u r so cute" "marry me" "i hate ur boring" "your eyes arent real" "i love u" etc etc etc
But i agree with something she said,"I dont like the US cuz people go out to the store in their pajamas" or something like that. bunch of lazy ppl everywhere xD

I don't agree that most people in the US are lazy, But I hate the pajamas in public thing that has just started to happen in the last few years. What are they thinking? She ignores the haters. In fact I think the haters just add to her views by pouncing on her videos like a feeding frenzy. She's smart enough to know how to get them stirred up and viewing . Nothingness does it, don't you think?
