  • Hey guys. I talked to you about a year ago... 993 turbo in Texas. I am ready to do the cylinder heads on my car. Twin plug action. I like that intercooler on this 964. Do you have something like that for my 96 Turbo? Looks like protomotive. Is it?

  • Hey, isn't that my boy Didier in the drivers seat? What's up frenchy!!!

  • Nice but 650hp - I doubt it no matter how you measure it.

  • turbo lag

  • HP can be done, but engine's life-expectancy goes down a lot.

    Crazy anyway

  • thats a big intercooler

  • I doubt it can have 650hp? Even a RUF CTR2 based on a 993 turbo only makes 520hp (580hp fot the "Sport version") with a total engine mods so....

  • wrong. it can easily get 700hp with two turbos.

  • Even the old 930 can pump out 650 "rwh" with EFI. The CTR2 nice machine, but by no means the big boy of the bunch. Ruf's are great road cars, but not built to be track cars - just not enough trq. If RUF wanted they could do much more just like any builder. I own a Holcomb built 930. Its my 5th and previous car was a highly moded RUF BTR .

  • the intercooler is amazing

  • Sounds v.good.

If only my 964 sounded that nice.

  • Is that an elephant?

  • my fav porsche model to, Im about to buy one from my uncle, uts an amazing machine that porsche have 865 hp, is a fucking beast

  • My fav model porsche of them all!

  • Totally agree.

  • I'll only believe it has 650 when i see it being driven hard

  • ...Or some more grippy tyres of course!

  • A TCS chip is the answer!

  • And it still has a loss of traction?

  • Yeah... thats what 650hp does on street tires ;-)

  • 'It just completely looses traction'

Limited slip differential (LSD) can sort that out. I've had LSD and a custom fabricated gearbox put on my 964 RS (which is tuned to 482bhp) and it cost about £6,800, but it makes the car WAY more driveable. This would be suitable for your 964TT...

Lovely car anyway! Same colour as mine!

  • It has a quiafe LSD in it.

  • Ok, if it is a biturbo with 2 small turbos, then it is of course better! sounds good with these mods...Injection? Motronic?

  • Stock Motronic ECU, reprogrammed of course ;-)

  • Nice car.... So at what RPM do you start having boost? I'm building a turbo, based on a 964 carrera and I am thinking of going with a single turbo set up.

    Whats it like to drive?

  • Boost starts building arround 2000 revs, and it really starts to feel good by 3 grand. It's not so much "drive" as it is point and try not to die. It does't have nearly enough tire. Any gear lower then 4th are worthless, it just completely looses traction and looks like a scene from "RUF Faszination". 4th and 5th gears go by really quick... it's easy to find the rev limiter in *ANY* gear. Personally I prefer my quattro, much more driveable. I'd love to do the same work on an AWD 964 or 993.

  • very nice! What is modded on this engine? With a very big turbo you have the power above about 4500 rpm and at 6500-7000 it's finished. So you have 2000rpms to max. 2500 rpms power, like a Diesel. A very small band of power. Up to 4500 rpms there is nothing...

  • I don't know where you got that information from because it's 100% false. Of course thats not to mention that the video description clearly states that this car has two K04 turbochargers on it, not one big one. Car has billet rods, and raceware hardware troughout the engine, and JE pistons. Headers are stock headers modified to take the turbo's. Intercooler is custom. Has HKS super sequential blow of valves and TiAL wastegates.

  • bruto!!

  • badass

  • awesome colour to
