  • salam n hi doc, going for menisectomy for my partially torn medial meniscus...debris in the joint makes my knee swollen after sports activity.articular cartilage slightly reducing.might have to deal with that later in life.probably need hyaluronan jab or chodroplasty or stem cell,as there are now available here in Malaysia.

  • This is why stem cells should be used:) regrow naturally! Stupid religious ppl -:--

  • @azguy1990 adult stem cell from the same patient should be tried

  • I had knee injury and torn my ACL, PCL, MCL and LCL. Also, i had my literal meniscus removed. I had those surgery 3 and 2 years ago. I hardly climb stair, and cant squat! Im so scared and I cried when the doctor said i showed symptoms of arthritis when i have my knee stiff sometimes, pain when i try to stand after a long sit and knee popping. Another problem is i gained a lot of weight since the surgery and im overweight now. I wish I could do something... Im not ready for this. Im just 25!!!

  • @purestpearl This injury is a bad one

may need scope and cleaning of the joint

  • @nabilebraheim I had replaced all the ligaments.. We bought ligaments from the USA for the replacement. and my literal meniscus partially removed

  • @purestpearl may need cleaning if you have pain

  • Conclusion of previous comment: My friend is very discouraged, and her other knee needs to be replaced also. I told her she needs to try out the UT Ortho, the docs would know how to help her. Thanks

  • @kaleidoscopekay will see her for both conditions

  • @nabilebraheim No soy No Dairy diet do it know it gets harder every year. PRP Therapy after 30 yrsold HGH Works wonders knee joint pounded flat only pain relief was HGH injections got me off painkillers and got me to Jog in 3 months $800 for 6 weeks was to great for long period of use witch I need but the 4 months I used it relief after 1 month hopefully will be able to manage cost and enjoy the day to day physically

  • @Joshrox17 thanks

  • A friend of mine, had a knee replacement this past June. She is allergic to most pain medication. At this time, she still limps and is in terrible pain. I told her about the UT Ortho and about the pain management that is available at the center. Would this be beneficial for her. Her present doc keeps telling her to wait and give it more time. She lives within an hour drive to Toledo. I thought the pain management doc could help, or maybe there is something wrong with her knee replacement.

  • @kaleidoscopekay will be glad to see her

  • My surgery is Monday :'( I'm so scared

  • @BxDannyboy86 sorry

  • I was working at an office had to go down and up the stairs manh times a day. After about a year i got some pain to my knees. Didn;t know why i had knee pain. I continued to go up and down the stairs quite vigorously. Then after a week i couldn't press the pedals in my car. Then it all came to my mind,I took care of the bad habit going aggresive on the stairs, problem solved until couple of years ago pain came back to every injury i had on my joints. Got Glucosamine pills, knees feel 50% better!

  • @ngt84 GREAT

  • My doctor diagonise me with thin cartilage symptoms. What they ask me to do is to do physiotherapty which is train the tights and leg muscle. But after a few month I went back to baskball I still felt the pain.

What can I do at this point of time?

  • @hacker2005 go to the doc

    may need MRI

  • i have a similar problem, my knee has a pain when i bend it, climb stairs, and especially when i go into a squatting position. It feels like it'll pop or have a slight crack if i went into a complete squat position.

Unlike the person in this video, i haven't had any knee injuries before. I THINK it might have been caused from when i jumped and fell from about a 7 feet height today. I didn't think i hurt my knee during the fall, but i felt the pain later on.

    Please reply, thanks so much!!

  • @xKINGkhanSRKx you have softening of the cartilage

  • @nabilebraheim i rubbed this muscle pain releifer thing on my knee and tied a cloth around it for a day. the next day it felt better and i could go into a squatting position without feeling like my knee needs to pop. Do you think i still had softening of the cartilage? And will it be ok to do leg workouts like squats again?

    Thanks soo much!

  • @xKINGkhanSRKx see a doc to help you after examination

it is not easy to decide

a simple problem can get worse

  • i've got to have an MRI and might do surgery if there's anything wrong with me... is there any other option like self-healing?

  • @tenaciousdude108 hard to tell

  • I want to share my treatment experience. After five months of the treatment I am fully recovered and there is almost two years I am not on the treatment. I was using tablets based on shark scale. The medicine is called- CONDROIN Forte. It is produced in Croatia, but I hope that there is in other countries also. It is not expensive.

  • @DigitalCrystal thanks

  • @nabilebraheim i seen a doctor but it was not hurting at all but when i got home i check where the pain was coming from and it behide the leg bone near the near but little bit down

  • @wwalcott93 see a doc

you may have a torn cartilage

  • @wwalcott93 you may need MRI

  • Please help me doc, I had a soccer related injury, I couldn't straighten my leg for a few days and it was extremely painful, then I put my leg in to a certain position and all of a sudden I could straighten it and stand on it. I had an MRI a few weeks ago, doc said no sign of real damage, but the thing is, if I bend my leg fully in, the knee locks and causes extreme pain, Ive locked it by accident alot, each time the pain was slightly less painful, but not by much, help me please :(

  • @Andyh144 MAY NEED INJECTION OR PT

  • @nabilebraheim Thank you very much :) Is the injection just some sort of solution that dissolves dead tissue?

  • @Andyh144 injection that decrease the inflammation or lubricate the joint

  • @Andyh144 check with your doc

  • @waffleheadGaming SEE A DOC

MAY NEED ANOTHER SURGERY OR INJECTION TO THE KNEE

  • wonderful video, i am recovering from ACL reconstruction using Hamstring graft and MCL grade II tear... Five weeks.... could only acieve 80 degrees of flexion...my therapist says will be alright ..will i be able to do flexion as my other nee

  • @VidhyaRM1 work with the therapist

  • @Firestormify ask your doc

but if the knee gives out then surgery is good or rehab

  • @Firestormify not in the USA ,UNLESS there is a clinical research project with permission and approval of the IRB

but we can use the the marrow stem cell concentrate to treat nonunion and AVN because there are several published data about it

  • @Firestormify many things helpe with cartilage regeneration including HGH

PRP cost of the kit ranges fron 180 to 300 dollars

there is no prove that platelets generate cartilage ,but it does help from observations

  • @Firestormify you are correct

docs inject PRP platelet rich plasma that produces growth factors that attracts stem cells that help in generation of the cartilage

this treatment is available and it helps in some patients

no prospective or long term studies to prove or disprove the value

my impression ,it works for some patients

  • I had a microfracture on my knee a couple years ago. Would this be similar to a stem cell treatment?

  • @kaleidoscopekay microfracture brings stem cell to the injured area through the blood channels

  • @Firestormify check clinicaltrial .gov

    check under stem cell

for arthritis and nonunion and AVN

    thanks

    happy new year

i will make several videos for this problem to explain

it takes time to make the videos

  • @Firestormify some clinical tries deals with cartilage

this is the project that i will work on

  • @Firestormify for cartilage and arthritis the result from stem cells is about 80percent

    no prospective study

  • @Firestormify why would you use PRP as opposed to stem cell injections?

My answer is there no stem cells available for injection . you need to get them isolate them grow them treat them then inject them

i use adult stem cells from the patient marrow as a concentrate in nonunion and avascular necrosis

these devices are available to help to concentrate the marrow

  • @Firestormify stem cells concentrate is used to help avasular necrosis and nonunions

    that is done in humans

we do not have approval to grow them in the lab and inject them back

but we can get clinical trial

    it will not be expensive

we are growing them in the lab now

  • @Firestormify

adult stem cells does not produce cancer

the body recognize it as part of its own

it is a good thing for the treatment of patients

it will not take 100 years to be developed

  • @Firestormify

i agree with you MRI is expensive

stem cell adult from the patient own bone marrow is promising

  • 3 to 4 injections a year

  • How many times of injection of PRP could be performed within one year?

  • What facts decide on PRP treatment compared to stem cell on a knee joint? Your video describes all the options that are available for knee arthritis. Thanks!

  • @kaleidoscopekay we do stem cells for AVN and non unions

we use platelets for arthritis and tendon problems

  • Great Explanation and Illustration!

  • @Nickliu2010 thanks

  • the stem cell is wonderful for the repair of cartilage

  • @chinafox1 i think so

  • amazing!

  • @98roxon THANKS

  • Thanks

  • great video

  • @chinafox1 THANKS

  • Thanks

  • @2mariebl thanks
