The guy really needs to stop using a teleprompter, I think it's slowing him down. I'm gonna stop watching MSNBC altogether if I get my hands on a feed to Current, I think. If only to get away from Pat "WWII wasn't Hitler's fault" Buchanan and Rachel "The Democrats are the good guys" Maddow. And don't even get me started on Ed "If the president says it's legal, then it's legal" Schultz. By the time Keith left MSNBC, he was the only guy worth listening to, although Cenk Uygur did improve things.
@dijhili Would that it were true. We could use the money, the way the Koch Brothers underwrite RightOnline to the point where they were giving away tickets the last day of their copycat conclave to inflate attendance.
Hey, George (*waves*), if you're reading this, throw some of that sweet, sweet liberal cash our way!
Bathtub Douchebag is back!!!!!!This asshole is such a flaming fraud. I hope he gets caught giving Mr. Sex Poodle a happy ending with Tony Dick (Weiner) chaffing his schmeckle in Gore's mouth.
Let's see here....video been up for 2 days...724 views, 25 comments, hmmm wonder why no cable systems want this stuff...must be cause there are no viewers.
thank you keith! yes, we are a county governed and driven by corporations and it's nice to see you and al gore together. very exciting stuff. as a fan of current for years, and a fan of you for years, two fan tracks are converging, so you've made my quest for intelligent analysis and news--real news--a little easier (read: one click). and, smart decision to move to online media. you're working in the future, today! welcome. cheers, and best of luck on the premiere. break a leg, big guy.
there is a conspiracy, corporations are the new face of imperialism, cool, if your in the imperialist side of things. Remember that the imperor is god in the flesh for their subject. the subjects only reason for living is to please the emporor. pick a side nigga!!!!
Keith- I for one am glad you have regained your cable voice- and restarting small is quite OK. I wish you well with your new forum. If you keep your opinions clear, fact-filled and verifiable you will rally new supporters to join those who already know that you give voice to those who otherwise have no voice. Best wishes on your return.
Current TV's a joke. I'm no conservative, but even I find it to be ridiculous, sophomoric, and not full of much content worthy of even being on TV or watched. What about those stupid little cartoons that are meant to make a 'point'? About the only shows worth watching on Current are That's Gay and Vanguard.
I mean, if Current TV was Al Gore's GRAND vision, I think he needs to fucking get his head checked or expand his horizons. You left a great MSNBC show for some stupid 'network' targeting 18-30s that's not even that entertaining or fulfilling, Keith?
Funny how he goes after "the corporations" when it was a CORPORATION (MSNBC, owned by NBC, owned by GE) that made him rich, that paid him to say all that stuff! They gave him a nightly forum for, what, 5 years straight?
wtf is this idiot going on about?? So... he's gonna do the EXACT SAME SHOW he did for 5 years on MSNBC, except on A DIFFERENT NETWORK? One that hardly anyone even knows, much less watches? WHY? Just so he can "take a stand"? And what about freedom of the press, Keith? Doesn't that mean anything? What's this bs about media companies "treading on the Constitution"? Isn't it guys like Bush and Obama who tread on the Constitution with wars in the Middle East, Patriot Act, etc., much more so??
And he bitches about how conglomerates own these media companies. Yes, some COULD argue that media concentration supposedly is "too much", but the fact that multibillion dollar corporations own things like MSNBC AND GE and other subsidiaries does NOT mean a goddamn thing! LARGE corporations the world over have subsidiaries, and they are parent to OTHER companies. It's called capitalism, asswipe. It's called being efficient and able to do all kinds of innovative things at the same time.
Keitho here, though, makes it sound like there's some kind of HUGE conspiracy between GE and the alleged defense contractors it owns (or is owned by), and that fuels their reporting (or lack thereof) on various issues, with no evidence whatsoever to back up this wild charge. Or that EVERY decision a media operation makes, esp. a larger one, is due solely to the OTHER corporate operations in that family of companies, as if NONE of them have any autonomy. Did you serve on the board of directors?
Oh, and here's ANOTHER newsflash for ya, Keith: All corporations ARE NOT THE SAME, esp. politically. Some lean to the Left, and others are more right-wing. I know that's hard to believe, but it's true. For example, GE's Jeff Immelt is actually quite friendly to Obama, in case you didn't know. Many rich folks and big businessmen tend to lean left, and several corporations are run by folks who are pro-gay and have pro-gay policies. So can it, you hack.
What "corporations" "don't want you to be able to see Countdown on Current"?? WTF are you yammering on about, Keith? As if there's some HUGE conspiracy to keep you down by certain cable companies. Uh, I remember when I had digital cable a few years ago, and I sure as hell never saw Current TV on the list! That was back when Keith was ON MSNBC! So get a life, Keith.
Around 1:08-1:14, it sounds like Keith is solely describing Fox News, but for some ODD reason, he's lumping ALL the media companies in with it, for some reason. Uh, yeah. When's the last time you saw CNN or MSNBC blaming immigrants and unions? Especially CNN. Wolf Blitzer's got a pretty boring show; Cafferty's kind of angry, but he's not that fired up; Anderson Cooper's definitely a liberal; and then there are the lesser-known talk show hosts and news anchors there.
The best way to stop them is a loud commentator on an independent but little-known and little-watched "network" of young idiots, stupid cartoons, and very little actual journalism?
Love it! I'm SO glad Keith is going to Current TV - I absolutely love Al Gore, and Keith Olbermann is brilliant and very principled. What a fantastic combination!
Never underestimate the nuttiness of liberals in large numbers.

Word to Al Gore: Make Current TV programs - Countdown - available on the web. Sheesh, this should be obvious.

@califsherry I hope he does because our cable doesn't carry this channel. This needs to be on the web too.
