Well for one you cant use nitrous on methanol. 2 i like to drive it to town time to time and methanol will just burn your eyes out at the red light and everyone else thats behind you. and 3 love the sweet smell of racing gas.
You can use nitrous on methanol my buddies do it every weekend drag racing, You burn more than twice as much methanol than racing gas so it almost works out. If you are using it only for racing you are right, it's not a bad idea.

@JamesB437 Methanol also burns at a 5-6 - 1 ratio.... To gas's 10.5-14.7 ratio, So, you would use a equal amount of cash to fill the tank either way for same distance driven.

@JamesB437 The price difference is obvious, but methanol requires methanol carburetors which change the air to fuel mixture because alcohol requires less atmospheric oxygen to burn therefore more fuel is crammed into the cylinder per cycle. In essence it uses more fuel.
I just put together a 355 with a PJ gear drive and i took it off after the second time i fired the car because it was so f-ing annoying, just sounds like it's eating hp you know.

And because it also burns A LOT faster than gas does!!!! So even though it is cheaper per gallon, you will be at the gas pump a lot more often! ;)
