Ok I know that there was never a cartridge of this game and that this is was made by you completely by scratch with inspiration from the story, but my question is would it be absolutely impossible to put it on a game boy cartridge? (when it is finished)

@Ortriaphin Actually the tombstone appeared after winning a random encounter prior to cursing the trainer, and did not appear immediately after beating the trainer as you stated. So the author counts a battle sequence as exiting the area which could have been quite possible in the game's programming. But I do agree it would be nice if tombstones appeared after actually exiting the area.
I don't know if it would be feasible and it wouldn't be sticking with the creepypasta, but I think it would be cooler if the gravestones only appear after the elite four, when you're walking back to pallet town.
Are you going to put the original V1.0 Lavender Town music in there instead of the Red and Blue one? By the way, love how much progress you are making!
Very good work so far, as a fellow programmer I'm impressed. Game Maker provides an excellent method of making games, and this is definitely one I'm looking forward to. Just curious, what version of Game Maker are you using?

@themaskisthebest As far as I know, it took 6 years, & dabr1dg3 is doing probably the most advanced uses of Game Maker possible... Of course, nowadays I'd imagine programming something like RBY is easier than it was in 1990-1996, especially with Game Maker...

I've been trying to find some kind of cheat code for disabling music in GB ROM, but none available... Now I understand why you didn't managed to get menu SFX.
Just a quick request, Because really the viridian forest theme is quite scary in a psychotic sounding way reather than lavendaer towns creepyness, maybe there could be an easteregg area in there which is sort of a ghostly version of the forest, which has the ghosts of the people or pokemon you kill in the forest which are seriously high leveled versions of their originals and cannot be killed by ghost? That might be an interesting feature if can be done.
@grimfang999 It would be interesting. However, since he is following the creepypasta, I doubt he'll acctually implement it anytime soon. Maybe think of it as a post-release project.

This is absolutely amazing. I'm a programmer myself, doing this alone is no easy task, and you're doing a fucking great job!

No, the story said that it was like a regular game of Red, but you had GHOST available.
The Lavender Town sequence only occurred after Elite Four.

I love that you now make the distorted cry play after a little delay after curse its used, so now it plays while the screen is completely dark.
A very simple change that in my opinion makes the effect of curse much better! :)
