There aren't enough pads so he wouldn't know what to hit, and there's no mechanism to open the hi-hat (still even in rockband 3 so far, c'mon guys), so he would still be lost. Even Neil Peart would have to practice to play his own song perfectly on rockband, because there are a lot of short cuts.

ps. for all the improvments made to the rockband 3 guitar controller, those guys really fucking slacked on the drums.
