This book is fantastic! Shaun Tan is a little Australian genius! this book is both sweet and realistic. i've heard that he bases his books on real life. is that true? his drawings are incredible, really capturing the emotion of the story. Thank you Shaun Tan for this great book and i cant wait to by The Arrival! Lucie xx

i love Tales from Outer Suburbia, the stories are so unique and different from every thing else. Shaun Tan is a real artist, he creates characters of such wonderment. i was lucky enough to meet him at Hay Book Festival, where he was promoting his book: The Arrival and Tales from Outer Suburbia. he was saying that he basses most of his stories on his own life experiences. and you can really tell that from what he writes and the way he writes it. Hats off to Shaun Tan for another fab book!!!!!!!!!

I just ordered Tales From Outer Suburbia off of Amazon because I have to know what that 'Stick Figures' story is like. I can't find any descriptions of it online that really give me an idea of what it is.
