  • seems Ir onic and counter productive.

  • Penguins are birds even if they don't look like one for me. I even thought they don't have feathers until I saw this HD clip.

  • humans are to0 blame..

  • humans are to0 blame..

  • This discovery says a lot more than just penguin survival. It shows how much a little change like a band can affect an animal's survival.

It also renders most animal data very unreliable and almost useless.

  • obviously this is unislamic !~you can always refer to tag haggard for advice you stupid Christians! Allah hu akhbar!

  • Scientists found armoring the penguins and equipping them with flamethrowers made them 928% more awesome but 100% less likely to reproduce, challenging earlier research indicating awesomeness is proportional to attracting a mate. Journals tell us others had criticized the type of weapon and metal for armor, arguing the fuel and flammable magnesium were needed in their roles as spare parts for the life support equipment. Communications ceased last winter after an inexplicable series of fireballs.

  • the reminds me of when researchers say they put an inconspicuous tag on an animal, and then show that its a huge box with 2 foot antenna strapped to its back, as if that wouldn't hurt its chances of survival.

  • so, they killed that penguins!

damn u! this shouldnt be the way of science !

  • Science is wonderful; I love how it is self-correcting. Sucks that all that information is corrupted, though.

  • @CamW30 The hell are you talking about?

  • @ButeoLineatus - "The hell are you talking about?"

Science discovers problems in the methods they use and then correct them. The information acquired by using flipper bands is corrupted (ie not totally reliable), so the science obtained from the research to date is not fully reliable. That is a lot of time and expense down the drain. The information on the breeding patterns of the penguis has to be recollected.

  • @CamW30 Oh so you meant all the information gained from the bands are unusable. Yeah I agree.

  • @ButeoLineatus - " Yeah I agree."

Sorry, I guess that I am too use to talking in technical terms, due to work. Sometimes science just does not think things through, &/or some problems are truly unforeseeable.

  • @CamW30 It's like aliens coming to Earth and forcing a few thousand of us to wear the puffy shirt from Seinfeld, would totally mess with the mating data.
