  • I analyzed the song for about an hour, replaying every track that had Zelda singing and came up with

    Lem Dashedu

    no be

    Jundu

    die shudwu

    kewenu sale

  • I hear "It's okay." in Japanese at the beginning but that's about it.

  • Sheesh, no-one actually knows the real lyrics? It has been sung with lyrics in text bar twice in the game. The lyric is: Oh youth, guided by the servant of the goddess, unite earth and sky, and bring light to the land. (Second verse, sort of a spoiler) Oh youth, show the two whirling sails the way to the light tower... and before you a path shall open, and a heavenly song you shall hear.

  • @anandihouben jeez i thought that at first when i heard this...i was like ummm you got the lyric wrong she need to change that

  • i thought she said

    Nen Da-Sha-Boo

    Do-Bay Shun-to

    Tayn Shun-to

    Ke-Wa-New Sa lay

  • Awesome and it totally makes since to im sure that Link was kinda flipping out that he was going to be the Chosen Hero I know that I would be XD It kinda makes you feel better

  • hey wat about the rest of the song ...or does it repeat its self... I dont notice cause the voice is soothing and the notes blind my ears with its beauty?

  • @TheShadowDragon95 The song is (as far as the gamers know) only these two verses :/.

  • It's in Japanese because.... well it's Nintendo although in TLOZ series they don't speak any known languages the closes to an ancient language they could get is Latin but not many people want to learn a different language. Lol

  • @TheShadowDragon95 No, it's Hylian.

  • @Z3ldalover1 Japanese

  • nice song.

  • You wern`t correct, but I still LOVE your translation! Very inspiring to me.

  • You should know the proper translated version because Zelda's dad tells you it in the game :L

  • Duh!!! Im dumb! O.o

  • Where in the eorld can I get an mp3 download for this?

  • @NintendoFanBoy21 meant world

  • Where's nthe last line? :(

  • I thought the first one was right:

    Ne'em, dashobu

    Nobe jundu

    De shutwu

It makes the most since.. at least to me.

  • a bossaru goddes who made life

  • I don't understand these translations everyone is making...didn't the game itself have its own translation in the text boxes while Zelda was singing????

  • @TheBiggamer64 People usually say something like: "The lyrics go like this..." Zeldas dad says it I think after meeting fi and getting the goddess sword but I'm not sure.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!!

  • I'm not going to rag on you for making your own translation. There's no point to that. I think that the thought process you used in creating your own version was logical and interesting. I really like it.

  • Ghirahim dislikes this video.

  • I swear, people never read these days. TheLuciaDoll clearly put up the actual translation.

It's nice to want to help, but you can't possibly NOT notice everyone else saying it, it being in top comments, and in the description.

Not trying to be rude, but please, read before you type.

  • @indecentthinking Thank you ;u; It's nice to see someone who understands.

  • @TheLuciaDoll

    You're welcome. Same here.

It's always frustrating to see it everywhere you go on youtube.

  • @indecentthinking real lyrics: oh youth , guided by the goddes of the servants unite earth and sky. bring light to the land

  • @indecentthinking no she didnt....ir he.....if you played the game it tells you....god...and this verison is a bit to fast the ballad of the goddess goes slower...and dont say im wrong because im a huge TLoZ games and played this about 2 million times

  • @FoxGirl5551 What a coincidence, I'm a huge Legend of Zelda games too.

And don't abbreviate, spell the damn thing out. Lazy.

  • @indecentthinking well good :)

  • @indecentthinking well good

  • its not in japanese! plus you can look up the hylian language and translate it from the actual language

  • Japanese + French = Hylian xD

  • oh youth, guided by the servant of the goddess...

    Unite earth and sky...

    bring light to the land

  • The translation is "Oh youth, guided by the servant of the goddess. Unite earth and sky. Bring light to the world"

  • its not the right translation it must be: "oh youth, guided by the servant of the goddess. unite the earth and sky. bring light to the land"

  • ZELDA. WHY YHU NO SING WHOLE SONG?

  • I need this as my ringtone!!!!

  • I want to hear this backwards!

  • the first line really sounds like "ne, dijoubu" which means "hey, it's alright" in Japanese. but that's def not what it says in the translation in the game

  • OK, the original words are:

En dashadu, No bei, Scine du

Dein Shu tu, Kieranu, Sa lei.

    and the translation is:

O youth, guided by the servant of the goddess, unite earth and sky, bring light to the world.

Just thought I would clear that up.

  • @TheMPlegendmaster Considering the voice actors were Japanese, I don't think the lyrics are right at all. It is most definitely not "scine du;" closer to "shun du"

  • @TheMPlegendmaster

yep, you can actually read those words from the textbox when u met zelda at the start of the game

  • @TheMPlegendmaster I know that I have played the game!

  • @TheMPlegendmaster Thanks! I was wondering!

  • @TheMPlegendmaster really?

    i thought it was...

ne'em dashe bu, no bei, join du

te shu tu, kewa no swa lei

    O.o

  • She has a beautiful Singing voice, Now I'm wishing for a Skyward Sword Sequel or having this Adult Zelda stay in the series like Wind Waker Zelda.

  • Is there a full version of this?

  • Is this japanese or...?

  • The beginning of the game when she sings was so beautiful, because it was actually voice acted. Gah, I wish there had been more of this in the game, instead of the auto-tuned singing Fi does later.

  • okay, ur lyrics are wrong, its "Oh youth, guided by the servant of the goddess... unite earth and sky, and bring light to the land"

  • Plz is there a way u can finish her song? I love this version its much better quality. <3

  • this is too beautiful <3

  • you know zelda dad know the lyrics so if you think you messed up yea talk to her dad

  • Zelda is the most amazing singer I've ever heard...she heals faster than the song of healing!

  • What would this version of ballad of the goddess be.

I've been trying to find the harp version with zelda singing.

  • so is it confirmed that she is singing in japanese or one of the Hylian languages?

  • @kissa1512 it isn't japanese; i guess it's supposed to be hylian. see, after i made this, someone provided me with the "actual translation" as told in the game. i've also been told that she's just singing random syllables of japanese kana. as far as i know, there is no actual "confirmation" of what language this is. most say it's supposed to be ancient hylian, so that's all i can tell you. sorry ^^'

  • @TheLuciaDoll it sounds very japanese, it's most likely just a 'modified' japanese just like the hylian writings, hylian is also based on japanese, but not true japanese.

  • @kissa1512 h... hylian is actually japanese backwards

  • @TheGoldenPeachGirl how does that explain the fact that there are 3 different Hylian? Old Hylian, New Hylian and Japanese Hylian.

  • @kissa1512 she is speaking japnese hylian

  • The translation of the song according to *minor spoiler* Zelda's Dad is

♪♫♪"Oh youth, guided by the servant of the goddess... unite earth and sky, and bring light to the land. Oh youth, show the two whirling sails the way to the Light tower... and before you a path shall open, and a heavenly song you shall hear."♪♫♪

Although I think I like your version better! I just wish there had been voice acting for the Headmaster and he could've sang it to you xD

  • @SakiWatari Thanks!! I'll put that in the description. I don't quite see how such a long translation fits the short lines sung, haha... Once again, thank you ^^ (and I agree about the headmaster singing lol~)

  • @TheLuciaDoll Well, the longer version of the song is not introduced until later in the game. The part you have here is likely only "Oh youth, guided by the servant of the goddess" and possibly "Unite earth and sky". The rest of verse 1 is cut off by her noticing Link. The second verse doesn't come into play until much later.

  • @SakiWatari Ohhh, okay. That makes more sense haha, thanks for explaining :)

  • @SakiWatari well, for one, i've tried singing it to the tune she sang it, and it didn't match up..Sadly, so i think these lyrics fit better

  • (I accidentally flagged this, so, so sorry. Stupid touch screen.)

  • @DarkPhaaze it's alright, I happen to use a restaurant register (long story haha) for a computer and i sometimes accidentally mess up with the touch screen too ^^

  • Yeah, that's actually pretty epic.

  • What Zelda is singing are just random syllables from Japanese kana. It's ancient "Hylian", and the translation is provided during the cutscene in the game. It's not supposed to mean anything in Japanese.

But all cred to you for taking the time to actually look it up! :)

  • Im not sure, but i think the lyrics for the first part of the song is "Oh youth, guided by the servant of the goddess...unite earth and the sky, and bring light to the land." There was a second part too, they are both translated in the game.

  • @Afrodude94 Really? Were they translated in the beginning of the game or...? I haven't exactly gotten very far yet, haha...

  • @TheLuciaDoll umm, im not sure i should spoil, but its after you beat the third dungeon, ur supposed to reseal the monster u see in links dream (called the imprisoned), u go back to skyloft and talk to zeldas dad and he says the lyrics for you. (he refuses to sing them though xD)

  • @Afrodude94 Ohh... it's okay, i actually like spoilers (im so bad hehe) and lol, that's quite understandable >w<

  • Great job! Congratulations on the final results to your translation project =]

  • @flyinglikeAboss Thanks :)

  • That is interesting! It would make sense if the phonetics of Hylian sounded like an old varient of japanese. Considering the old hylian text from OoT was able to be traslated to japanese, which can then be translated to english. Thank you for this input.

  • @YoshiLover122 I'm glad you think so, too :) This was actually a lot of fun to translate. Thank you for the comment ^^
