@weottertalk He is actually quoted as saying that it took him TWO DAYS to write the album as he was stuck in a hotel room in Jamaica too scared to come out because of the heavy atmosphere on the streets at the time. Amazing what fear can do. Perhaps he should've been scared more often! Still a genius.

This was my favorite album as a child and I was born in 1967.discovered in 1974 when candle in the wind carried every radio station period.This song is incrediable and the album will never be outdone.The hits overshadowed so many songs but really every song brilliant.You will never again find a CD with 17 songs with more hits and musical genious.I was blessed to live it and still today applaud it

It's amazing how we all forgot this song. blame DJs an music critics who always pick up on the wrong songs. 'Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me' and 'Candle In The Wind' are not in the same league as this epic, yet everyone focuses on them. This is a bad mistake, to ignore valuable gems in favour of the bandagon-jumpers' choice.
