Tsubasa played a practical joke on the gang to make them selves stuck together. Mikan got stuck to Natsume. Natsume was jealous of Ruka because Mikan said shed rather be stuck to Ruka then Natsume (and she said 'I like Ruka', but she meant only as a friend) so when people normally get unstuck (in one hour) Natsume pretended they were still stuck so he could be with her longer. And then they got unstuck in the morning.

One of the reasons they ended it was that the relationship stuff was gettig too heavy for child viewing.
