Yehh she did shes going solo or working with a different band it was on perez hilton a few weeks ago and the band that was evanescence has changed their name to "the fallen" and they have a new singer called carly smithson!

I think that Amy has retained the name evanesence though. I heard that too but as far as I'm concerned as long as Amy is there its still the same band in principal. They were nothing without her voice.
