  • Love it!

  • Terrible. He needed other writers to add edge and round off those great songs. He really just started throwing up on tape after Wings and lived on his fame. I bought the records and grew to really resent him for selling them. My poor father brought me to Give My Regards to Broadstreet or whatever that wreck was called. What a joke of a concept and execution.

  • What year was this released? If it was in 1980, then it should have been on McCartney II. Any later, this would fit on Pipes of Peace or Tug of War, very nicely.

  • Every time I hear this song it raises my spirits. Paul should put it on his next album! I love it!

  • It is no fun.I miss Linda-I do.

  • Paul McCartney.....the only man who could make a song as good as this and not release it!!! He has soooo many good unreleased songs its sad!

  • WOW! I have never even heard of this song! I love it and Im a long time, hardcore fan of Paul and the rest ....

  • I think thi open Paul´mind to do

    Electric Argumets :D

    My new mind tune jojio

  • I love the staccato of the keyboard? in the background. This is such a cool song. Loved it immediately:) There's something so incredibly magical about this:) It sounds like a great little theme song to a sort of psychedelic children's TV show. Wow. ^_^

  • I just can't get over the 80's production of this song.. It's just too much for me. I'm a HUGE paul fan too..

  • Thought I knew everything Paul did, but now I see I was wrong. This one is really awesome. Can't understand why he never released it ...

  • This is my fave Macca song ever! i adore it...cannot believe the man didnt release it...i've had it on my iPod (from another source) for a long time and its still just so good..

  • This is an outstanding song. Why was it never released?

  • The project was refused by his label I think. They prefered to release the All the best collection after the failure of Press to play to "im-press". He haven't failed much since then, has he?

  • mrmarks65 That is not correct that it was rejected by his label. That was the single Once Upon A Long Ago. He should have released it under another label. That song would have been a hit in the US as it was around the world. Paul should have waited to release Press to Play and instead released the best of Press to Play along with this song, Yvonne, Lindiana, I Love this House, Christian Pop under the name Return to Pepperland sometime in 1987 (20th anniversary). Include Back on My Feet.

  • Think of this lineup:

Return To Pepperland,Lindiana, Yvonne's the One, Back on My Feet, I Love this House, The Lovliest Thing, Christian Pop

Press, Pretty Little Head, Move Over Busker, Tough On A Tightrope, Only Love Remains, Once Upon A Long Ago, Its Not True (Single Version).

This would have made a great 20th anniversary album commemorating the release of the original Sgt. Pepper. This would have been Paul's Sgt. Pepper.

  • @Wings1979 its a gd song but the rest of the album wasnt that gd the gd songs on it got put on different album except from this 1

  • who is the blond fellow? Ive seen him before. My two day old Stratocaster looks just like his Stratocaster guitar.

  • Hamish Stuart

  • Yeah it's Hamish Stuart. I named my son after him.

  • All idiots out there...This song is brilliant in every way. Musically, lyrically; check the brilliant lost video my friend produced and I revived on my channel. Ed

  • This is on the bootleg Flowers In the Dirt the Complete Sessions, its a 3 disc set. If you don't have it I suggest you get it. It's very good..

  • I must get that, considering Flowers in the Dirt is my favorite McCartney album. but what is return to pepperland, an unreleased album????

  • Give PM some credit he may quite well now when he's produced "dreck like this", hence why it's never been released, think it's over exagerated

anyway regarding truly poor tracks he's released.

  • This song could have been on any late 60's Beatles album...I hate when people dismiss Paul McCartney's post Beatles music. It just shows that they never really listened to the Beatles in the first place--Paul was the Beatles. That band was nothing without him-By Johns own admission

  • @newrev1776 - Doesn't matter what people say. The proof is in the pudding. And there's lots and lots of pudding.

  • Does anybody knows the lyrics ?

  • hey I agree this does sound very Beatleesqe thats what I first thought of it when I heard it!~

  • is this on any record of his or is this just a one time thing? can somebody help me.

  • it wasnt even released, it is avalable on a couple of bootlegs tho.

  • awesome

    thanks

  • awesome

    thanks

  • This song is outstanding, I've heard it with top sound quality and it's just baffling why he never released it.

  • Since the audio quality is not that good, YT will probably let you keep this posted. Another poster put up a high-quality audio of "Waterspout" (another unreleased Macca gem) and it was removed for TOU violation.

  • Thanks, heard about it but never actually heard it.

  • This song should have been released officially...It's awesome. I heard it a few weeks ago elsewhere and thought it was pretty tacky, but it definatly grows on you. Particularly around 2:25 min.

  • You are right. When I'm in bed ready to sleep this song often returns to my mind. It is actually pretty cool.Does have that old Beatle caasual laid back brilliance.

  • and the backwards piano at the end is pretty cool too.

  • This was recorded by Paul McCartney in June 1987, the 20th anniversary of the sgt. peppers lonely hears club band album.

  • wow where did you get this song
