The magic of editing. With powerful enough systems (that I'm sure they can afford) they essentially can load the pre recorded clip in no time and make it seem like it's happening currently.

Him breaking the glass with the sledgehammer was pre-recorded, and was only viewable to the people watching it at home in TV. That's why in this video live, they have HHH walking through the frame, so that the continuity remains legit. So that after the pre-recorded clip is shown, you see, as you see above in the video, HHH walking down the ramp with the frame behind him, giving out the illusion to those at home that he actually shattered the glass.
