Im looking to get into the Aincients scene. I have seen fields of battle? Rulebook? Is that one but I've never seen anyone play it so I don't know what is good? Can you suggest anything?
@jonathanadamski. I really like WAB (Warhammer Ancient Battles). The rulebook is now on it's 2nd edition. Warhammer historical have a website, and the WAB forum is a great source for information. Great Escape Games (famous for their WWII game Rules of Engagement) are also planning a historical rulebook called Clash of Empires, due for release at the start of 2011. There are other rulebooks out there but I tend to stick with what I know. Good luck!
hi there, Managed to get a few copies of rulebooke on the cheap, and i rate them WAB 2 then Hail Caesar and Finally Field of Glory.
Played my first 500pt battle with my Romans (tiny force) Really enjoyed it as its similar to fantasy and we picked it up fairly quickly.

@chrsplnc. They are Foundry miniatures, except for the slingers which are from 1st Corps.
