Powells amazing beauty in Jesus of Nazareth is given by the role he played, because Lord Jesus is wonderful and amazing and the Holy Spirit was present in this movie. The beauty of our Lord was present (I mean beauty with a spiritual component). Thats how he succeeded this amazing portrayal of Lord Jesus. Another successful portrayal of Lord Jesus is the one from the Gospel of John. Blessings!

If you look at it, there is a type of worldly rejection of actors who portray Christ in a true way. James Caviezel? Hollywood and British entertainment reject that type of truth. From the actors up to the real money people....executive producers etc.

But portray Christ having sex or like the Last Temptation....all of a sudden the makers of such movies are revered and admired and put up on pedestals.

You tell me the entity that controls these worldy institutions.

You are right, bronco. I tried to see the Last temptation of Christ and I gave up after one minute. I had the feeling that I am being brainwashed. The person depicted in that sick movie could be anyone, but not Lord Jesus. Money rules this world and you know and I know very well what entity rules a part of this world. But I dont want to mention it. It has no power over me, because my Master is Lord Jesus. God bless you!

I will say this though. It is difficult for me to se him as anything other Jesus. Meaning, the movie was so profound for me when I was a child, that every time I see him I kind of freak out in a way. Although lets face it, I doubt very seriously Jesus had blue eyes and looked like an Englishmen.

But he played it so well, that to me he was Jesus.

Same goes now for Caviezel. There is no doubt the Holy Spirit moved through them. no doubt.

Yes, bronco, they were guided by the Holy Spirit. Jesus of Nazareth, the Gospel of John and The Passion of Christ are blessed movies. It has no importance how Lord Jesus really looked like. It is important what He did for us. He saved us from hell. Glory to Him eternally. Blessings!

True, it is the essence that Robert Powell really tapped into. An unlike The Passion, Jesus of Nazereth focused on the whole life of Christ. Where the Passion only focused on the crucifixion and resurrection.

I am sorry that I criticized Robert Powell's presence in this serial. An actor can't live with air and with his past glory. Any person must ensure his livelihood. It is the fault of the producers, the channels and the media (a part of these entities) for promoting bad taste, awful scripts, vulgarity, violence and non-sense (I speck in general now). The producers are using great actors to promote their cheap production.
