  • I've always wanted to know if the boom mic is intentional

  • @ziribai I would think so considering what a perfectionist Tarkovsky was when it came to shot content and composition.

  • i always wondered if this was a documentary

it's a beginning of the parapsychology, isn't it?

  • Interesting thing to notice, that Lars Von Trier also uses many elements of the hypnosis in his films ("Europa", "Epidemic"...). And I think that he reapropriate those elements from Tarkovski... In "antichist", where are also elements of the hipnosis, Lars Von Trier dedicates his film to Tarkovski

  • an amazing scene that never stales. funny thing, the shadow of the boom microphone intrudes into the scene so drastically that i have to remind myself that Tarkovsky knew exactly what he was doing and the shadow is essential to his purpose ... which has given me even more to think about ... superb filmmaking.

  • It is filmed in a documentary style so the boom doesn't matter. The boom actually adds more realism to the scene.

  • which version is this? it's not kino, is it?

  • of course.

  • Is that a movie? It looks like a documentary, very realistic.

I wonder would hypnosis work as a cure for stammering?

  • send me shivers every time I watch it

and I could benefit from that kind of therapy:)
