MMA fighters ,when comparing salaries of other pro athletes make dick! Fighters need to unionize so they will be able to protect themsleves,their health,livelyhood,and to bring about a position where they can have leverage at the contract table.As it is now its a take it or leave it deal.Baseball has a union for players,as does basketball,football etc.I think it would make the sport more competitive and would grow it into an enormous spectator sport.Hedging bets by opening franchise ufc gyms sux

If you want to judge the best ufc champ by title defenses sure Tito gets some credit. But Chuck was the one that helped UFC go mainstream because people knew and wanted to see more of chuck lidell. Not only bringing in more money but bringing more fans and a more mature attitude to the sport.

What is with this expectation that someone in Dana's position has to be all proper and PC? He says what's on his mind, he's not fake, he's blunt and if people can't handle that, then go watch a sport with a square that worries about everything they say. As far as how much fighters get paid, that's disputable. But, it's fighting... you can't expect to get paid bank in a risky sport that injuries constantly occur. That's why NFL players get paid so little... because injuries happen so frequently.
