The SGI is more that 192 countries and because of this doesn't mean that Kosen Rufu has been attained. Kosen Rufu is not a destination it's a process. The SGI is planting the seed through the propagation efforts of Pres. Ikeda and the SGI members and in time the majority of the world will chant Nam Myoho Renge Kyo. Because the majority of the  people in the world is ignorant to the Law, you are going to have disasters and wars. As for Nichiren Buddhism or the later, I use both.

Lord Shakyamuni is the True Buddha, NOT Nichiren Shonin...and the Lotus Sutra contains The Three Treasures, which includes Dharma - the body of Shakyamuni's teaching (His Sutras) - SGI has led you to believe that you need know nothing of Dharma to attain Enlightenment, all you need to do is repeat over and over a short phrase that you are 'devoted to the Mystic Law of the LS' - in a language foreign to your own no less.

Nichiren Buddism or Nichiren Daishonins buddhism, I say either or. You tell me about all the wars? The SGI is doing it's part to try and make this a peaceful world. That's why we're in 140 countries. What is your organization doing for peace? Disasters are part of life, but I will tell you that the SGI members who do live in disaster stricken areas have pretty much survived and come out of them doing just fine. The SGI very much helps out in these disaster strickend communities.

Ikeda, in my experience of hearing or reading his words, isn't the kind of guy to give people marching orders. I read them more like encouragement. I won't get kicked out of SGI if I disagree with something. I don't give money to SGI because I don't know if it will be used for something I or someone else sees as unjust. I give my time for my own benefit and those of my friends. He's JUST a man like any other, not a god.

Ikeda's honors are arranged, sometimes paid for, & always negotiated by the SGI's top level staff. The SGI top HQ donates to these institutions, using your money that YOU donated to SGI. The monuments that Ikeda builds to honor himself are paid for by your donation money. Nichiren Daishonin was not so arrogant, narcissistic & self-inflated to need monuments built honoring himself and false honors.

Mr. ikeda has never been put forth as "infallible"- that's your take on it. SGI members regard Mr. Ikeda as a guide, or mentor, in Buddhist practice- infallibility doesn't enter into it. No human being is "infallible", but all of us have equal potential, same for Mr. Ikeda or anyone else.

There is no factual basis for this. Mr. Ikeda never lived in LA, only brief 2 or 3 day visits every few years, and never behaved in this manner, I'm sure. As to the term "cult leader", Roman Catholics believe the Pope infallible, and Tibetan Buddhists believe the Dalai Lama is a god, but no one calls them cult leaders. SGI members believe that Mr. Ikeda is neither infallible nor divine, rather a mentor or guide in Buddhist practice only, yet the term "cult leader". No logic there!
